Lindy Klim’s model daughter Stella, 19, reveals shock health diagnosis after leaving The Amazing Race

After a frightening collapse on this year’s *The Amazing Race* while competing in a challenge, Lindy Klim’s daughter, Stella, has received an epilepsy diagnosis.

Oh my gosh, I was *so* worried watching the show last night! Stella actually had to leave the competition – she told the producers she was feeling super dizzy, and it was awful to see! I’m just hoping she’s okay, she’s my absolute favorite and I was devastated when she had to stop. It was really alarming footage, honestly.

She sat down and told a medic that her vision had become very blurry and she was unable to see.

The 19-year-old model explained that she started feeling sick a few days before unexpectedly leaving the show this week, and her condition got worse while she was competing.

I was having a lot of trouble breathing, and three weeks later, I was diagnosed with epilepsy, she explained to Chattr.

‘I had been feeling kind of off… I just kept getting dizzy spells.’

As a lifestyle expert, I often talk about overall wellness, and understanding conditions like epilepsy is part of that. Simply put, epilepsy is what happens when there’s an issue with how the brain works, and it leads to seizures that keep happening again and again. It’s a neurological condition, meaning it affects the brain and nervous system.

Seizures happen when the normal electrical activity in the brain gets disrupted. This can lead to symptoms like losing consciousness, feeling dizzy or shaky, and sometimes even seeing or hearing things that aren’t there.

This condition is typically controlled with medicine, but things like stress, not enough sleep, and very hot or cold temperatures can sometimes bring on a seizure.

After being diagnosed with the condition, Stella has experienced five seizures.

She believes the race’s gruelling schedule may have triggered the episodes.

Her mother, Lindy, believes the difficult filming conditions and Sri Lanka’s humid weather may have made her daughter’s health problems worse.

Lindy started to explain that her seizures were caused by a period of extensive travel. ‘That’s what happened… that’s what brings them on,’ she said.

I think everything started happening because of a combination of things like not getting enough sleep and being really stressed.

Despite Stella’s desire to keep going, medical staff decided it was too risky, and she returned to Australia by plane that night with her family and team.

Since her diagnosis, Stella has faced challenges finding the right medication.

It’s been really difficult. I started taking medication for my seizures, but unfortunately, things have been getting worse instead of better, she explained.

Two weeks ago, I had a seizure while riding in an Uber with my manager, and I needed to be taken to the hospital.

I recently had a check-up, and my doctor and I decided to increase my medication dosage. We’re now just monitoring how I respond and hoping for the best! It’s a bit of a wait-and-see situation, but I’m staying positive.

Lindy and Stella are glad to finally know what’s been going on and are optimistic that treatment will help them feel better.

Stella is becoming a successful model and influencer, just like her mother, and is quickly gaining popularity online.

I’m so thrilled to see her TikTok following explode! She’s really surpassed even Lindy in popularity, and honestly, it’s no surprise. She’s constantly sharing amazing beauty and makeup advice, and her thousands of followers – like me – are totally hooked!

This impressive mother and daughter team also work together, and they recently came back to Australia to support and advertise the women’s fashion label, Effie Kats.
