Back in 2025, I, a die-hard fan, was thrilled to hear about Lindsay Lohan’s heartfelt aspirations for another little one, as she opened up in an extensive chat for Elle’s Summer Issue. Not only did we get a glimpse into her future plans, but we were also blessed with some precious parenting wisdom from the legendary Jamie Lee Curtis! What a treat it was to witness this dynamic duo share their thoughts on parenthood and life!

During an interview led by SNL star Chloe Fineman, Lohan, at 38 years old, expressed her desire to have another child for her toddler son, Luai Shammas, to have a companion to play with.

In a new kind of world we find ourselves, women are increasingly prioritizing self-care, particularly in motherhood. They see it as essential. Yet, once you become a parent to one child, there often arises the thought, “My child would benefit from having a playmate.” This is how Lindsay, who has a child named Luai with husband Bader Shammas, puts it.

‘Is that where you are right now?’ Chloe, 36, asked Lindsay.

‘I’m like, “He needs a friend,”‘ Lindsay added.

Lindsay also wants multiple children to care for her once she gets older.

The actor from Herbie Fully Loaded expressed, “It might seem a bit self-centered, but I feel that having more than one child will help me in my later years.

During her pregnancy, Lindsay got some top-tier guidance from her Freaky Friday colleague, Jamie Lee Curtis.

In the upcoming sequel Freakier Friday this year, Curtis advised Lindsay Lohan to focus on self-care as she navigates her journey of motherhood.

‘We’re extremely focused on our families, a topic we frequently discuss. One crucial lesson she’s instilled in me is self-care as a priority. It’s essential to look after oneself first, as only then can one effectively help others.’

In 2019, over dinner with shared companions in Dubai, the Irish actress and her future spouse first crossed paths. They exchanged vows exactly two years later, in the year 2021.

They announced the birth of their son, Luai, in July 2023, but did not specify the exact birth date.

During the shooting of Freaky Friday last year, Curtis shared with People that the fiery woman with red hair switched into motherly caretaking when on set.

In a statement made in 2024, the 66-year-old individual shared that the mother of one was almost constantly in “mom role,” expressing that she deeply enjoys it and finding it difficult to divert her attention away from this role.

Despite not having her son on set while films were being made, Jamie mentioned that Bader often collected her from work nearly every day.

Bader and Luai arrived at her trailer where they waited for her, and eventually, they all left for home together. She was thrilled as she expressed this.

At Disney’s D23 fan gathering in August 2024, the duo was queried about who they’d prefer to body-swap with, as seen in their popular movie, and Lohan responded by mentioning her child.

Lohan shared with People that her baby might be the reason. “I’m curious – he’s so innocent and full of joy,” she said. “Just observing life through his eyes each day brings me immense happiness. He truly is a beautiful, happy bundle of joy. I can’t think of anything else that brings me this much joy.

Freakier Friday will land in theaters on August 8. 

Filming for the sequel began in June of 2024 with production wrapping in late August of that year.

In the enchanting 2003 retelling of Mary Rodgers’ 1972 classic “Freaky Friday,” I found myself stepping into the roles of both a mother and her teenage daughter, experiencing firsthand the unique challenges and joys that each role presents. A truly magical journey, indeed!
