Lindsay Lohan enjoys family day at Disneyland with husband Bader Shammas and her siblings… as she takes a break from filming Freaky Friday sequel
As a long-time fan of the original Freaky Friday film from 2003, I couldn’t contain my excitement when I heard that they were making a sequel! The news brought back so many memories of watching Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan switch places in the most hilarious way.
For the past month, Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis have been filming together for the long-awaited follow-up to “Freaky Friday.”
During the weekend, Lohan took a break and visited Disneyland in Anaheim, California with her loved ones. Her husband Bader Shammas, brother Dakota Lohan, and sister Aliana Lohan were all there to share in the joy of the day.
Disneyland Resort posted a picture on Facebook and other social media sites, showing the actress smiling with Mickey Mouse.
As a lifestyle expert, I’d suggest this: When she visited the Happiest Place On Earth, the former child star confidently flaunted her toned physique in a chic white blouse adorned with red stripes and paired it with sleek black leggings.
To complete her laid-back look, Lohan accessorized with a pair of white sneakers. Her red hair was brushed out in a lengthy, sleek style that reached the middle of her back, featuring a central part.
On her 38th birthday, which fell on July 2, the actress posted some pictures on her Instagram Story as well. One of these images showed a castle, while in another photo, she stood with her back towards Mickey Mouse.
She titled the photo “Prepared for the day” with the magnificent castle serving as its backdrop, captured in the frame behind them.
A native of Long Island, New York, would switch her mouse ear headband for a white baseball cap adorned with Mickey Mouse’s image for a casual afternoon selfie photo session.
In the image, she stepped closer to the lens and displayed a broad, radiant grin, even with her dark sunglasses on.
Lohan posted a picture on social media of her and some family members enjoying a ride in the Radiator Springs Racers convertible at Disney California Adventure Park. She wrote as a caption: “Let’s go for a spin!” or “Time for an adventure with my loved ones!”
Before heading to Disneyland with specific roller coaster rides planned, The Parent Trap actress made it clear when it was time for an exhilarating experience.
As the crowd cheered on, she and her family enjoyed watching the coordinated band show alongside numerous Disney enthusiasts. With the sun setting, they additionally experienced the enchanting It’s A Small World performance.
After reaching the spectacular fireworks finale, the group eventually made their way back home for the evening.
Last week, Lohan filmed for their new Disney production, Freaky Friday 2. She worked on the set together with her colleagues Jamie Lee Curtis, who plays her movie mother, and Chad Michael Murray.
Five days ago, I stood before the enchanting Disney logo, my arms spread wide, and exclaimed, “I hope your week has been as magical as this place!”
On the initial day of filming, on June 24th, they both chose to celebrate and document their experience by taking pictures and recording videos of themselves outside their trailers. In these images, they are seen sitting facing each other and laughing merrily.
“The Coleman family is returning to cinemas in 2025! Exciting news: The production for the sequel to Freaky Friday is underway.”
Twenty-one years have passed since Curtis last portrayed Tess Coleman in the movies, with Lohan taking on the role of Anna Coleman, Tess’s eldest daughter.
Several stars from the initial film’s cast have returned to portray their characters once more, including Mark Harmon, Chad Michael Murray, Christina Vidal, Haley Hudson, Lucille Soong, Stephen Tobolowsky, and Rosalind Chao.
Among the other cast members are Sophia Hammons, Julia Butters, Manny Jacinto, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, and a few more.
In 2003, the initial installment of the film series, which was a reboot, achieved great success at the global box office, earning an impressive revenue of $160.8 million against a production budget of just $26 million.
In this project, Nisha Ganatra takes on the role of the director, collaborating with Jordan Weiss on a screenplay. The basis for their story comes from the beloved children’s novel authored by Mary Rodgers with the same title.
In their latest work, Heather Hach and Leslie Dixon contribute new characters to the narrative; they are the writing team behind the 2003 film’s script.
At this point, Disney has only revealed that Freaky Friday 2 is scheduled to be released in 2025.
