Linda Nolan’s sister confirms cause of death wasn’t cancer
Linda Nolan’s sister has confirmed that the singer’s death wasn’t due to cancer.
Earlier this week, it was confirmed that the star died at the age of 65. Her agent stated that she passed away peacefully in a hospital, with her family members by her side.
18 years back, Linda received a diagnosis of breast cancer, which unfortunately recurred in 2017 and eventually affected both her liver and bones.
Maureen, one of the members from the band The Nolans (which also included Linda and sisters Colleen, Bernie, Denise, and Anne), recently passed away due to a case of double pneumonia, as she revealed in an emotional Instagram post she shared.
Yesterday, our cherished @thelindanolan said goodbye. There’s so much I want to express, but I’m at a loss for words or where to begin. So many precious moments, so many hearty laughs, and unwavering support during tough times – she was always there for us. I am deeply saddened, joining the rest of us in our sorrow.
Let me express my sentiment to everyone who admired Linda: Despite bravely facing cancer, it wasn’t cancer that took her life. Instead, she developed a severe case of double pneumonia during the holiday season, which proved to be an unfortunate challenge for her already weakened immune system.
Maureen emphasized, “Stay optimistic and resilient if you’re going through tough times, as she endured close to two decades battling one form of cancer after another – and so, you too have the strength to persevere.
The homage is given following the sister and TV personality Coleen from ‘Loose Women’ posted a touching tribute to Linda on Instagram, expressing deep sorrow over her passing and referring to her as a shining symbol of love, compassion, and fortitude.
Linda’s quick-wittedness, humor, and contagious laughter made everyone around her feel uplifted. Her warmth could brighten any space she entered. She had a generous heart and was skilled at bringing solace and happiness to those in her company.
Colleen stated, “Linda’s memory will continue to resonate through the numerous lives she influenced. Though it’s hard to articulate the depth of our sorrow, we find comfort in the affection and warmth she bestowed upon us all. Farewell, Linda. You shall remain etched in our hearts forever.
