Linda Hamilton’s Dr. Kay Should be a Villain in Stranger Things Season 5
Linda Hamilton will appear in Hawkins during Stranger Things Season 5, potentially showcasing a shift in her character as she might portray a fully villainous figure, much like her role as the Terminator.
Yesterday, Netflix revealed the first trailer for the final season of their show, offering a sneak peek at Hamilton’s Stranger Things character. As of now, details about Dr. Kay remain scarce; we don’t know yet how she fits into the story or whether she will aid Eleven and her companions on their mission. It is possible that she holds some intriguing secrets about the Upside Down that could play a crucial role in the upcoming season.
Considering Hamilton’s history of portraying strong, tough protagonists in various productions, it seems plausible that she might assume a feisty hero role in Stranger Things Season 5. However, the notion of her taking on an evil antagonist could also be incredibly entertaining.
Linda Hamilton’s Dr. Kay could be the replacement for Dr. Brenner in Stranger Things Season 5
In Stranger Things, various antagonists have appeared over time: Vecna, Demogorgon, Russians, among others. However, let’s pause to acknowledge the chilling impact of Dr. Brenner, portrayed by Matthew Modine. Despite his less-than-benevolent nature, given that he conducted experiments on children, he was a truly intimidating and unsettling character whose presence loomed even when he wasn’t physically present, even during seasons where he didn’t appear.
As a dedicated fan of Stranger Things, I find myself reflecting on the unfortunate demise of Dr. Brenner in Season 4. This leaves a significant void in the narrative, and it’s clear that Season 5 needs a character like him who can bring both the supernatural and human threats to life. Enter Hamilton – a fresh face with an intriguing backstory that could perfectly complement the existing ensemble. The human element is just as important as the monsters for Stranger Things, and Hamilton seems poised to deliver on both fronts.
In a recent chat with ComingSoon, Hamilton shared some exciting tidbits about her filming experience during her initial week on set. She remarked, “My first week of shooting was immense! I mean, I had been prepping beforehand, but this week was enormous.” Upon checking the production schedule, she exclaimed, “I couldn’t believe we were tackling those scenes so early in the process. I hadn’t even begun speaking my character’s lines yet!” It turned out that they weren’t starting with Episode 1; instead, they were deep into Episode 2, and then she realized that every day they filmed was equally massive.
Although the remark doesn’t reveal any details about her role on Stranger Things, it suggests she might participate in significant scenes, possibly ones where she fully embraces a villainous persona.
We love the irony in Hamilton stalking the gang as a Terminator-like villain
In the spirit of Terminator 2: Judgment Day tribute (a style beloved by Stranger Things), let’s consider a situation where Hamilton appears as an ally in the initial episode. However, in episode two, when our heroes are cornered, Hamilton might appear to help but instead whips out a gun and begins shooting.
In a remarkable twist, the scene could be reimagined as Arnold Schwarzenegger appearing ready to harm Sarah Connor, only to extend a helping hand instead. Later on, after our heroes have escaped, she might transform into a relentless T-1000, pursuing them with an arsenal of weapons at her disposal.
Since we’re approaching the final season of Stranger Things, it’s unlikely that there will be major plot twists or cliffhangers left unresolved. Instead, they may choose to wrap up Hamilton’s storyline by the end of the series. However, providing Hamilton with a thrilling, dramatic death scene could still be an option.
Yeah, we’re in for that. We’re definitely in for that.
