As a lifestyle expert, I have to say Lily James absolutely nailed her look at the New York City premiere of her new movie, ‘Swiped’! She really brought a stylish and sophisticated vibe to the event, continuing her promotional appearances with effortless chic.

The actress, 36, turned heads in a plunging black corset and matching smart trousers for the event.

She wore high heels to appear taller and completed her look with understated silver earrings, projecting an air of confidence.

Lily plays Bumble CEO and founder Whitney Wolfe Herd in the film.

The actress recently admitted she hasn’t tried dating apps, but worries they’ll make it harder for people to meet naturally.

With the rise of apps and less face-to-face interaction, she expressed concern that we’re losing the ability to connect with people organically – like making eye contact with someone at a bar and simply walking over to introduce yourself.

‘I hope that that doesn’t disappear’.

The new film follows the sexual harassment Whitney allegedly endured at her former company Tinder. 

Lily explained that she first encountered the script before the actors’ strike began, and she was immediately struck by Whitney Wolfe’s incredible story.

I didn’t know where to begin. Dating apps are everywhere these days, whether we approve of them or not – they’ve really changed how people connect and meet each other.

I was really inspired by the story of this woman, who was involved from the very beginning at both Bumble and Tinder. Her journey to becoming a successful and innovative entrepreneur – overcoming significant obstacles along the way – was truly remarkable.

She used to say she never needed dating apps because she was always in a relationship. Now, she’s not so sure and admits she feels a little awkward about them.

I really value my privacy and try to maintain it as much as possible. That’s why using a dating app feels a little strange to me.

Lily opened up about her worries regarding aging, explaining that a major realization in her thirties was the understanding that life isn’t endless.

She added: ‘I only want to do stuff that I really care about.

Honestly, all I really want is to be with the people I care about. Life is just too short and chaotic to waste on things that don’t genuinely excite me. And, well, things *have* shifted for me. I’m finally prioritizing what truly matters, and that’s everything.

The star was last romantically linked to musician Michael Shuman in late 2023.
