Lily Collins turns heads in a strapless sequin minidress after meeting her ‘idol’ Victoria Beckham

Lily Collins sparkled in a short, sequined dress while out and about in New York City on Tuesday.

The 36-year-old actress looked fantastic leaving NBC Studios after meeting her idol, Victoria Beckham, backstage at Jimmy Fallon’s show this week.

Lily looked stunning in a black velvet dress. The dress had a fitted, corset-style top, a flared peplum skirt, and was covered in colorful sparkles.

She teamed it with a pair of black stiletto heels and styled her cropped hair into a sleek look. 

The actress known for Emily in Paris, currently promoting the show’s fifth season, wore a stylish wool coat.

The next morning, Lily stepped out in a vibrant orange coat with a giraffe pattern, continuing her fashionable streak.

She paired her second look with a clashing purple sequin handbag and strappy heels. 

Lily was incredibly surprised on Tuesday’s Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon when her favorite Spice Girl unexpectedly appeared.

Lily was embarrassed when Posh Spice caught her dancing to the Spice Girls’ music while backstage.

The video shows Lily dancing to the Spice Girls’ song “Wannabe” from 1996 when Victoria walks up behind her.

Victoria spots Lily dancing to her song and grimaces, before making a swift exit. 

Lily was shocked to learn Victoria had been right behind her the whole time. She exclaimed, ‘Seriously? How did none of you tell me? Oh my gosh, this is so awkward!’

She looked effortlessly stylish in a little black dress featuring sheer accents, while Victoria turned heads in a grey silk dress and black heels.

Following her time on the Jimmy Fallon show, Lily switched into a short, strapless velvet dress with a colourful leopard print.

She was seen walking through New York City wearing a dress, a long black blazer, and strappy velvet heels.

Lily teared up as Victoria sat beside her, admitting she copied the singer’s iconic bob haircut. 

The conversation began with Jimmy asking Lily if she was still embracing her confident, stylish phase, and Lily responded by saying she hoped to maintain that attitude forever.

He showed us this amazing side-by-side comparison of Lily and Victoria doing the same pose, and honestly, it was hilarious! Victoria immediately joked that Posh always manages to pull it off better, and I totally agree – she’s just got that effortless cool!

Jimmy then shocked Lily as he brought Victoria out, after the star said she’d never met her. 

The ladies recreated the pose from the photos, both striking a peace sign, before sharing a hug.

Oh my gosh, it was the sweetest thing! Victoria was just admiring Lily’s hair, saying it was so much shinier than hers, and Lily was SO humble! She kept saying ‘No, no, no,’ and then sweetly added, ‘Well, thank you, but no, I could never out-shine you!’ It was just… perfection. She’s so effortlessly lovely and doesn’t even realize how amazing she is!

You know, I’ve always been fascinated by celebrity nicknames! I remember being on set when Jimmy asked Victoria Beckham the story behind ‘Posh.’ Lily, ever the quick wit, chimed in, saying she’d been wondering that herself for ages! It was a fun little moment, and everyone was eager to hear the answer.

Victoria explained that she earned the nickname because she always enjoyed dressing well and dining at good restaurants.

It was actually a benefit for me that the other Spice Girls weren’t interested in designer clothes. When we filmed videos or performed, they were fine with wearing the free clothes we received, which meant I got to use the entire clothing budget.

‘I like how you think,’ Lily said, clearly impressed.

The two then watched a clip from the new season of Emily In Paris.
