As a long-time fan of Sex and the City, I eagerly anticipated Emily In Paris when it first premiered. However, after binge-watching all three seasons, I must admit that while the series shares some similarities with its predecessor, it stands on its own as a delightful and engaging tale of love, friendship, and self-discovery in the City of Lights.

It’s not long to wait until the new series of Emily In Paris hits Netflix later this month.

Lily Collins, much like her cherished character, made her way to Paris for a shoot with NBC during the last several days of the Olympics.

35-year-old actress exuded effortless elegance wearing a black sequin beret and a mini skirt in red, embellished with 3D roses.

She donned a particularly striking outfit, combining a miniskirt with an oversized, long-sleeved blue shirt and a long black tie.

She added some eye-catching orange platform shoes and her signature bold red lips, posing alongside her makeup artist in a photo she posted.

I, being an ardent admirer, couldn’t help but share this selfie I took with the incredible Anna Hallas! Here we are in the City of Love, Paris. Captioned it as: Emily and Anna in Paris.

Had a blast filming the NBC Olympics commercial alongside athletic powerhouse and amazing individual, Anna Hall. Don’t forget to join us tomorrow as we cheer her on during the competition in Paris!

I’m thrilled to be squaring off against the formidable Katarina Johnson-Thompson in the heptathlon right now, as I strive to showcase my versatility and athletic prowess on the international stage.

Lily additionally posted some exclusive footage from the set, framed against the iconic Eiffel Tower backdrop during filming.

In a nutshell, the first part of “Emily in Paris” is set to premiere on Netflix on August 15th, and the trailer for season four of this popular series was recently unveiled, offering insights into Emily’s complicated love situation involving Alfie and Gabriel.

This series will see Emily attempt to steer clear from her double romances and focus on herself.

While wandering through the romantic city, Emily encounters numerous attractive men and comes to understand that it’s time for her to seek out fresh adventures following her recent unsuccessful relationships.

However, even as Emily throws herself into enjoying her newfound singleness, she finds it hard not to look back wistfully at her past relationships with Alfie (played by Lucien Laviscount) and Gabriel (portrayed by Lucas Bravo).

With her friend Mindy Chen (Ashley Park) encouraging that no relationship is flawless, Emily seeks guidance. Yet, her pursuit of answers leads her right back into the intricate web of the love triangle, hoping to discover the one she had left behind.

In a tricky situation, Emily expresses, “I believed I could leave them behind, but they carry significant importance for diverse reasons.”

Mindy says: ‘Don’t over think it’.

At her workplace, Emily encounters another disagreement with her supervisor, Sylvie Grateau (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu), as her personal blog posts about her love life contradict her professional duties in the office.

Starting August 15, you’ll have access to the initial five episodes. Unfortunately, the next set won’t be released until September 12, which is nearly a full month later.

In my personal experience, since I moved from bustling Chicago to enchanting Paris for a coveted marketing position, my love life hasn’t quite taken off as smoothly as I’d hoped.

Despite having a tumultuous relationship history with chef Camille, who is a friend of hers, she found herself drawn to neighbor Gabriel.

In the thrilling climax of our series, I found myself at a crossroads as my romantic journey with Brit Alfie reached its conclusion. The twist unfolded when Camille, in a bold move, declined to marry Gabriel during the season finale, exposing her long-standing awareness of his undisclosed affections towards Emily.

Some hidden truths still need to come to light, such as Camille’s relationship with artist Sofia, a fact that Emily is privy to, while Gabriel remains oblivious.

As a die-hard admirer, I can hardly contain my excitement about the upcoming twist – Camille’s pregnancy! This new development makes the already complicated love triangle involving Emily, Gabriel, and myself even more intricate. I can only imagine how challenging it will be for them to maneuver their feelings amidst this life-changing event.

Darren Star, the creator of Emily in Paris, acknowledges that some viewers find similarities between Emily’s character and Carrie Bradshaw from Sex and the City, a role portrayed by Sarah Jessica Parker. He recognizes why these comparisons have been made.

As an ardent admirer, let me express why I can see the connection between these two captivating series. Both are set in alluring urban landscapes with strong female protagonists. However, the concept behind Emily in Paris was strikingly unique compared to what I’ve envisioned for years – a show revolving around an expatriate navigating life in the City of Lights. For quite some time now, I’ve harbored a dream to craft a series that explores this very theme.

Lucien branded the series ‘chaotic’ and ‘heartbreaking’ while Philippine gave a taste of the action by saying the new episodes are all about ‘revenge.’

Back in May, I was overjoyed when Lily shared the news that the first half of season four would be released on August 15! And just wait until September 12, because that’s when we’ll get our hands on the second part. Trust me, you won’t want to miss it!

In a related video, Lily and her fellow actors summarized the new series in just three words. Among them, Camille Razat, age 30, whose character found out she was pregnant towards the end of season three, expressed it as ‘chaotic.’
