Lily Collins cuts a chic figure in a black leather blazer and flared trousers as she steps out in New York City
As a long-time lover of romantic comedies and someone who has seen their fair share of mediocre shows, I must admit that I am both intrigued and slightly skeptical about the return of Emily in Paris. On one hand, the series’ delightful charm and captivating settings have always been a guilty pleasure for me, akin to indulging in a decadent chocolate croissant on a chilly Parisian morning. Yet, I can’t help but wonder if the storyline will continue to hold my attention as it has in the past.
Lily Collins turned heads on Thursday as she was pictured out and about in New York City.
The actress, 35, cut a chic figure in a black leather single-breasted blazer.
In a stylish combination, the actress from Emily in Paris wore a blazer alongside some flared trousers in a warm coffee hue, and accentuated her figure with a pair of sharp-pointed court shoes.
She finished off her elegant outfit with a pair of diamond earrings and wore round, black sunglasses.
Lily seemed in high spirits as she smiled and waved at the cameras before entering her car.
As I wandered through the bustling streets of Times Square, I found myself in the company of some familiar faces from Emily in Paris – Lucien Laviscount, Bruno Gouery, and Samuel Arnold. Quite a star-studded encounter!
In a stylish blend of formal and relaxed attire, the actor playing Alfie in the popular Netflix show was seen donning a fitted black T-shirt and gray pants, showcasing his toned physique.
He teamed a pair of black leather ankle boots with his ensemble and sported a pair of black square-framed shades.
The trio seemed in high spirits as they departed from the Good Morning America studios.
This past week, Lily shared the news that the popular Netflix show will be returning for a fifth season.
Regarding the fourth season, although opinions among viewers were diverse, with it being divided into two segments, it surprisingly topped the Netflix Global Top 10 chart when it debuted in August.
As a lifestyle connoisseur, I must share some captivating news: The intriguing series I recently recommended has truly swept the globe! In just its initial four days, it managed to amass an astounding 19.9 million views across the world, and what’s more, it climbed into the top ten most-watched shows in no less than 93 countries! If you haven’t yet watched it, I highly recommend giving it a try – you won’t want to miss out on this global phenomenon.
The creator, Darren Star, shared his enthusiasm about the exceptional reception to this season of Emily in Paris and expressed eagerness for a fifth season to extend Emily’s journeys in both Rome and Paris!
Following her thrilling revelation on Good Morning America, enthusiasts of her romantic comedy series couldn’t hide their delight and astonishment at the news that she was coming back to play the part of Emily Cooper, an ambitious marketing exec.
‘What visa is she on?’ one joked.
Another insisted: ‘For my mental health there should be a new season of Emily in Paris monthly.’
‘I want to watch a new season of Emily in Paris every year until I die,’ a third wrote.
‘Oh yay my forever guilty pleasure,’ a fourth raved.
Some viewers, however, quipped they couldn’t believe some people are ‘still watching this show.’
‘This show is so bad. I can’t stop watching it though [sobbing emoji],’ another X user tweeted.
Another asked: ‘Why are they making more seasons????’
In a more simplified version, you could say: The second half of Emily in Paris Season Four premiered on September 12, with Emily exploring the enchanting city of Rome.
The recently aired show chronicles the tumultuous happenings surrounding the ill-fated marriage between Camille (portrayed by Camille Razat) and Gabriel (performed by Lucas Bravo).
In part one, Emily still had strong feelings for Gabriel and Alfie. But Gabriel was expecting a baby with his ex Camille, and Alfie’s worst fears about Emily and Gabriel had been confirmed.
In part two, Emily’s flight back to Chicago is cancelled.
Although nothing compares to being at home during the holidays, she finds herself celebrating Christmas Eve with Gabriel and Camille’s family in Megève this year.
After a short while, Emily meets her latest romantic figure, Marcello, portrayed by Eugenio Franceschini. Following their inaugural rendezvous in the city of lights, Paris, Emily plans a trip to Rome to spend time with him.
The ending brings about an exciting prospect for Emily: overseeing a Rome office, a suggestion that Sylvie wholeheartedly endorses. This move not only allows Emily to remain in the captivating Italy but also to get closer to her new partner.
