Lily Allen says she is ‘happy to be alive’ after an HGV ran her new £120,000 Porsche off the road. 

The 40-year-old singer recently shared photos on Instagram showing damage to her new car. She’d bought the car to celebrate the success of her album, West End Girl, but it was hit by a large truck.

Lily shared with her 2 million followers that she was having a pretty good year so far, before a recent incident occurred this month.

She shared a photo of her black car, which had been scratched on the sides and around a wheel.

She said her new year got off to a bit of a shaky start when a large truck forced her off the road, but otherwise, it was a good beginning to 2026.

Lily playfully teased other celebrities who are participating in a popular social media trend of sharing old photos from ten years ago.

She added: ‘Happy to be alive and to not be posting any photos taken in 2016.’ 

Fans quickly took to the comments to wish Lily well after the horror incident. 

I was SO relieved to hear you were okay! That whole situation was terrifying. And then… the Porsche? Seriously?! I adore you, I really do, but seeing that photo actually made my heart ache, haha. It wasn’t… the car I was hoping to see, let’s just say that. I’m just… a little obsessed, okay?

Oh my gosh, what happened to your car?! I’m so relieved you weren’t hurt. I hope you’re doing okay – this isn’t how anyone wants to start the year. Sending you lots of love.

Thankfully, Lily seems to have had some positive memories this January despite the road collision.

She posted a photo of herself sunbathing, wearing a black bikini and a grey baseball cap.

Lily displayed her expensive handbags in a couple of photos. First, she showed off a tan Birkin bag worth £25,000, and then she was pictured carrying a red Birkin, valued at £20,000, on top of her luggage.

The singer, known for her song ‘Smile,’ was seen relaxing on a plane wearing a lilac sweatshirt. She also posted a picture of herself in a pair of blue striped pajamas.

I was really saddened to hear that my favorite singer has been struggling with a spending addiction. She recently shared that she went on a huge shopping spree and is now getting the help she needs to deal with it. It takes a lot of courage to be so open about something like this, and I’m sending her all my support!

She was showing off a large diamond and emerald ring, explaining she’d bought it as a gift for herself – though she admitted it was quite extravagant.

It’s important to celebrate and acknowledge your successes. I feel incredibly wealthy, and I’ve been celebrating by buying designer handbags, jewelry, and a new car.

She spent extravagantly, including £120,000 on a Porsche and £16,500 on a black Hermès handbag, which she was later spotted carrying while walking in East London.

Okay, so my absolute idol just shared something so personal, and I’m still reeling! She’s been going to therapy – EMDR, it’s called – for the last four months! I had to look it up, it’s this amazing thing that helps with, like, processing difficult experiences. Honestly, just knowing she’s taking care of herself like this makes me love her even more. It’s so brave of her to share, and I’m sending her all the positive vibes while she goes through this!

But that did not stop her from decamping to the Caribbean for Christmas.

Lily took her two daughters, 13-year-old Ethel and 12-year-old Marnie, on a luxurious vacation to the Cayman Islands. She shares the girls with her ex-husband, Sam Cooper, a 47-year-old builder.

She was joined by two close friends: Dylan Mulvaney, a 29-year-old influencer, and Joe Locke, 22, who stars in the Netflix series Heartstopper.

I was absolutely floored seeing the videos from her vacation! She was zipping around the islands in this amazing pink Jet Car – I looked it up, and you can actually rent one for around £300 an hour. Seriously, what a way to spend a holiday!

After the success of her album, West End Girl, Lily is said to be looking for a luxurious new home, reportedly in either Notting Hill or the celebrity-filled area of Primrose Hill – both places she knows well.

Lily’s album reached number two on the charts, and combined with her successful UK tour, is reported to have earned her a significant amount of money.

Lily is spending money and actively searching for a new house. Following her recent breakup, she’s eager to find a fresh start and a suitable home for herself and her two daughters. She’s currently viewing several properties to find the perfect fit.

According to sources close to the actress, she plans to rent out the West London flat she purchased last year, around the time her marriage to David Harbour started experiencing difficulties. She has a budget of up to £5 million and will reportedly use the rental income as part of her financial planning.

I was so surprised to hear that they’ve separated! I always thought they seemed so happy together. Apparently, she moved out of the beautiful Brooklyn brownstone they shared, and it sounds like things haven’t been great between them for a while now.

This is a stark change from 2016, when she had to sell her cherished £4.2 million Cotswolds home. This was because a former tour manager successfully sued her for a substantial sum, leaving her unable to cover the debt.

In an October episode of her podcast, Miss Me?, she described having a wonderful home in the countryside that she’d always dreamed of.

I put a lot of work into making it beautiful – it felt like a dream come true. I was incredibly proud of it, and I had always imagined raising my family there.

I received a large tax bill and asked HMRC if I could pay it off in monthly installments. They wouldn’t agree, so I was forced to sell my house.
