Lily Allen reveals her shock after learning she'd been referred to a CHILD psychologist as an adult - amid fears her marriage is on the rocks

As a dedicated follower of Lily Allen, I find her recent revelations about her life and experiences to be both heartbreaking and hilarious at the same time. It’s heartbreaking to know that she’s been going through such a rough time, mentally and personally, but it’s also hard not to chuckle at the irony of her accidentally ordering an entire pizza with only tomato sauce on it or accidentally following the wrong Stranger Things actor on social media.

Lily Allen recounted the amusing incident when she found out she was scheduled for a consultation with a pediatric psychologist, despite being an adult.

The artist’s current mental state has raised questions about the stability of her marriage with husband David Harbour, as she admitted she isn’t feeling good mentally.

In a new clip from her Miss Me? podcast, Lily shared the surprise admission that when she began seeing a new therapist when she moved to New York, but remained unaware that they specialised in child psychology.

Lily discovered the error when she was sent to another psychiatrist’s office instead. Upon visiting this office, its kid-friendly decor exposed the truth.

She shared with co-host Miquita Oliver: “When I relocated to New York, Henrietta, my godmother who is quite influential, knew many people in the city. So I asked her, ‘I’m moving to NY and need a therapist. Can you make some inquiries to see if there’s anyone suitable?’

She responded affirmatively, so she reached out to a few of her friends by emailing them. She mentioned that her goddaughter was relocating to New York, asking if they knew someone who could be recommended. I got in touch with one such person, who subsequently emailed me.

Initially, I began developing feelings for her, and after approximately a year and a half, she introduced me to a psychiatrist from her workplace.

Upon arriving at the office, I found myself surrounded by tiny seats resembling infant high chairs, abacuses, and books meant for young readers. It struck me as peculiar.

When I visited the psychiatrist, he explained, “Typically, we work mainly with children, but since you’re Anne’s client…

After that, I returned to Anne and casually asked, “By any chance, are you a child psychiatrist?” To which she replied, “Indeed, I mentioned it in my email.

To clarify, my friend mistakenly thought that being someone’s goddaughter referred to a child. Consequently, they suggested I consult a child psychologist. As a result, I’ve been continuing my sessions with one.

But Lily admitted that seeing a child psychiatrist has still proven to be beneficial,

She mentioned that it had been useful, and further explained, “Absolutely, I believe it is. It aids me greatly with taking care of my children.

Previously, it was mentioned that Lily started attending therapy following her move to New York with her daughters Ethel Mary (age 13) and Marnie Rose (age 11), as well as her spouse, David, in order to process the changes and challenges they encountered during their relocation.

Previously, there was speculation about their connection as Lily stopped following the Stranger Things actor (aged 49) on social platforms last year.

Currently, she’s been subtly indicating that there are issues at home and she’s expressed feelings of being tired or uninterested in men.

On a tough stretch right now, but I’m doing my best to keep going, as she shared on the Miss Me? podcast she co-hosts with her friend Miquita Oliver.

In a previous episode, she told how her two daughters had found themselves in the firing line.

In a heated moment, I let out a loud yell and spoke sternly to the children: “Right now, I’m finding it incredibly difficult to manage. With everything that’s happening, I really need your help in staying calm and collected.

She subsequently shared with them: ‘Everyone is facing tough times right now, so let me offer my apologies and express my regret.’

In another part of the discussion, she referred to Aaron Batterham, Alison’s partner, as a ‘strong pillar of support’ and ‘an exceptional and supportive man in my life’, without any reference to David.

In my perspective, a hint that might be linked to her turbulence surfaced when Lily stated, ‘I’m simply fed up with men.’

In recent times, Lily has been captured without her wedding ring. Videos from her podcast clearly display Lily’s left hand, which no longer sports the large diamond that David presented to her four years ago.

At the addiction awareness event in London earlier this month, she too was absent the item.

It comes after Lily revealed that she is ‘not in a great place mentally’ and has stopped eating.

Speaking on her podcast Miss Me?, Lily made a candid confession about her mental health.

The artist behind “The Smile” song shared insights about its effect on her appetite, revealing that she’s been abstaining from food and seldom experiences hunger.

Lily shared, “For the past several months, I’ve been facing some challenging times, and my eating habits have turned into something problematic.

In our session, my therapist asked me, “For how long have you been dealing with this issue?” To which I replied, “It’s been approximately three years now.” She then questioned, “Why haven’t we discussed this earlier?

Instead of saying “It’s not because I’m lying about it,” you could say “I haven’t been intentionally withholding information.

Lily mentioned, “I struggle a bit when it comes to discussing broader concepts. This is also related to my ADHD, as I find it difficult to connect various aspects.

To me, my mind and body seem distinct entities rather than closely linked parts. While many people perceive them as intertwined, I find this is not the case for myself. I tend to dwell more within my thoughts than focusing on my physical self.

At present, I’m struggling mentally, and I’ve lost my appetite. It’s not that I don’t feel hungry, but somehow my mind and body seem disconnected. The signals of hunger aren’t reaching my brain from my body.

To put it straight from the heart of a passionate devotee, it’s not that I’m shying away from sustenance, but rather, my mind has taken a detour, leaving my appetite trailing behind. It feels as if my body is trying to catch up with my thoughts.
