Lily Allen parties with billionaire media mogul Rupert Murdoch’s ‘wild child’ granddaughter Charlotte Freud weeks after cosy date with her brother Jonah

Singer Lily Allen was seen having fun with Charlotte Freud, the free-spirited granddaughter of media tycoon Rupert Murdoch.

The 40-year-old pop star, who separated from her husband David Harbour, 50, last year, was seen getting close to 25-year-old Charlotte at a Christmas party this week.

I noticed Charlotte, a talented songwriter, shared a sweet moment on her Instagram stories last night. She posted a picture of her and a friend hugging at a party surrounded by their friends – so cute! It’s always lovely to see people enjoying time with loved ones.

Charlotte shared a photo with the caption, ‘Merry Christmas you filthy animals,’ a famous quote from the movie Home Alone.

Oh my gosh, Lily looked absolutely angelic! She was wearing this gorgeous cream sweater, all soft and cozy, with the sweetest little pink flowers embroidered on it. And Charlotte… well, Charlotte was Charlotte. She went with this super edgy, low-cut black outfit – totally her style. It just reminded me of her wilder days, you know? She always owns whatever look she’s going for, even if it’s a bit… daring.

This fun get-together happened a little over a month after Lily was seen on a date with Charlotte’s brother, Jonah, at the highly-rated Dorian restaurant in Notting Hill.

The pair chatted and laughed together for more than two hours before leaving the venue separately.

Charlotte and Jonah are the children of Matthew Freud, a public relations executive and nephew of the famous painter Lucian Freud, and his former wife, Elisabeth Murdoch, who is a television executive and the daughter of Rupert Murdoch.

Lily, a mother of two from her previous marriage to Sam Cooper, has been increasingly seen with the Freud family after her recent breakup from actor David, whom she married in 2020.

Recently, Charlotte posted a fun TikTok of her and Jonah dancing to Lily’s song, “West End Girl,” sparking rumors that Lily and Jonah might be dating.

The TikTok video, shot in a private room at the famous Chateau Marmont hotel in Los Angeles, also included a touching mention of Charlotte’s short-lived marriage to British rapper Luke Storey, who is 40 years old.

Charlotte wrote with the video: ‘It’s amazing—the last time we met, we were both married to different people, but now we’re sisters!’

She married rapper Luke in a lavish Cotswolds wedding in 2022. The event felt reminiscent of the TV show Succession, with her grandfather, media mogul Rupert Murdoch, arriving by helicopter. He made a statement with a white suit and red shoes, all while going through a divorce from Jerry Hall.

Guests at the nuptials included actor Woody Harrelson and TV presenter Claudia Winkleman.

However, Charlotte later revealed her husband relapsed on the way to their honeymoon. 

Charlotte and her husband divorced in September 2023. She explained that the relationship had become strained, feeling like she, her husband, and his recovery from something were all part of it.

After getting divorced, Charlotte relocated to Los Angeles and began dating actor Isaak Presley, 23, known for his roles in Netflix’s Fuller House and the Disney series Stuck in the Middle, where he starred alongside Jenna Ortega.

The Daily Mail revealed last month that they had split up.

Charlotte, originally from the UK and raised between London and Suffolk, has openly discussed her past struggles with drug and alcohol addiction. She recently celebrated five years of sobriety.

Last month, Lily was seen on what appeared to be a cozy dinner date with writer Jonah at a restaurant in West London.

The two seemed comfortable and happy together while having dinner, and reportedly spent over two hours together before each leaving on their own.

I spotted Lily leaving the restaurant – she’s known the Freuds for ages, you know – and she was trying to keep a low profile. She quickly bundled herself up in a black coat and scarf, and was carrying a takeaway bag as she left.

They were also photographed together in September at a party for the band Oasis, which was held at the Chiltern Firehouse.
