Lily Allen debuted a stunning new hairstyle on social media on Wednesday.

40-year-old singer, who announced her separation from husband David Harbour (age 50) towards the end of last year, recently displayed her stylish new appearance on Instagram.

She went to Suite Caroline, a well-known hair salon in New York, to get a new style since she decided to part ways with her iconic red hair.

Rather than the previous style, she sported a stylish, large, jet-black bob with bangs, embracing a more “gothic” transformation in her appearance instead.

She captioned the stunning snaps: ‘Goth girl summer.’

At their recent salon appointment, the pop star known for their smile sported a chic and modern look wearing a sleek black leather coat from Miu Miu, priced at approximately £5,500.

After confessing about feeling deeply sad and isolated at her New York City residence following her separation from David, she has now adopted a fresh appearance.

She conveyed that she has been experiencing a great deal of weightiness, as there isn’t much keeping her engaged in this city.

In the year 2020, Lily relocated to Brooklyn with the intention of living near David. Her two girls, Ethel Mary Cooper, aged 13, and Marnie Rose, aged 11, were registered at nearby schools.

Expressing her intention to step away from social media, the artist known for “The Fear” shared that she feels an emptiness since she’s no longer engaging in endless scrolling.

Lily mentioned during her conversation with Miquita Oliver on the BBC’s Miss Me? Podcast that she has been almost two weeks without using any social media.

Last week, I found myself experiencing an unusually deep sadness, sinking lower than I had in months. It was a weighty feeling.

Then it struck me that perhaps my absence of productivity could be due to mindless internet browsing, leaving room for contemplation instead – a kind of self-reflection you can understand, right?

She went on to say: “During the day here in New York, I don’t have a lot of tasks to keep me busy. As a result, it seems like I often end up spending time on Instagram, scrolling through posts, posting myself, reading comments, and getting that little boost of dopamine.

‘And I haven’t had it for nearly two weeks, and I think it made me initially really sad. 

It seemed like I was experiencing the effects of abstinence, which was quite distressing. To be honest, it felt similar to the sensation one gets when quitting addictive substances, it was truly overwhelming and bizarre.

‘But it took me a minute to think, “Oh yeah, it was probably that”‘.

Last year, around the same time, actress Lily parted ways with her husband, David, who is known for his role in Stranger Things, following four years of marriage.

The couple tied the knot in Vegas in 2020, before moving from London to the United States.

However, last December, friends confirmed they had split after living ‘separate lives’ for months.

Previously, Lily expressed about their separation: “I haven’t moved on yet. I’m more like fleeing from the situation. There’s a possibility I might experience a mental breakdown.

The former couple originally met on the celebrity dating app Raya in 2019.

Earlier, during an appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show, Lily mentioned that she initially used dating apps just for amusement. That’s where she encountered David in a costume as a humorous “policeman.

She admitted, “I hadn’t recognized him. To me, he seemed like an attractive cop from a reality television series, given his police uniform. The image turned out to be from ‘Stranger Things.’ I was unfamiliar with that show.

I was completely clueless about what exactly I wanted during my vacation. It was more like an aimless browsing, and honestly, it’s just a bit of entertainment, nothing too serious.

When first encountering him, I hadn’t anticipated anything would come of it. He was in town shooting the movie ‘Black Widow’. His stay was expected to last just a couple of months. However, things eventually developed between us.

Just prior to their separation, Lily started investigating as she suspected that David might have been unfaithful through a dating app.

She was deeply distressed upon learning (according to The Mail on Sunday) that the actor supposedly maintained a hidden account on the exclusive dating app for celebrities, Raya.

The well-known singer registered on the dating app under a false pretense, claiming to seek female companionship. It is said that she discovered David had previously created a profile on the platform, which had been active for at least a month.

Raya, being highly selective, admits just about eight percent of its applicants, yet boasts over 10,000 active members and a staggering 100,000 individuals eagerly awaiting acceptance.

Once users find a new partner, they usually disable their profiles. 

According to the source, Lily was attempting to identify the women that both appeared on Raya and were followed by David on Instagram. Her goal was to determine who David might have been dating. Essentially, she was using a method she referred to as her ‘Wagatha’ approach.

‘Lily only rejoined Raya to try to figure out whether he was seeing someone.

Since meeting David, Lily hasn’t given a second glance to anyone else. Now, she’s heartbroken because David ended their relationship a month back.

‘He was meant to be on holiday with her in Kenya over Christmas.’

As a lifestyle connoisseur, I’d like to share an intriguing tidbit that’s been making waves. Allegedly, a dating profile belonging to someone identified as David has surfaced in the media, specifically the Mail on Sunday. The profile reads:

“Currently traveling from Atlanta to New York” and “a secret nerd who portrays rugged characters on screen.”

This suggests a blend of cosmopolitan jet-setting and a hidden passion for intellectual pursuits, all while maintaining a tough persona in the public eye. Quite fascinating, isn’t it?

Additionally, it mentioned that he resides in Atlanta, Georgia, approximately 800 miles away from their previous home in Brooklyn, New York, which they relocated to in 2020. During this time, Lily decided to enroll her kids in local schools there.

Last year, he purchased a home in Atlanta, moving there to get nearer to the filming location of Stranger Things during the production of its fifth and concluding season.
