Lily Allen is praised by close friends Miquita and Andi Oliver for ‘rebuilding’ herself after going through ‘absolute hell’ when divorce from David Harbour ‘nearly broke her’

Friends Miquita and Andi Oliver have commended Lily Allen for overcoming a difficult period following her divorce from David Harbour, saying it almost shattered her.

The singer, now 40, and the actor, 50, got married in Las Vegas in 2020 but separated in 2024. Lily later hinted at his infidelity in the songs on her album, West End Girl.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m always fascinated by real-life stories, and the latest issue of Good Housekeeping UK features a particularly moving one. Andi and Miquita, a mother-daughter pair, recently shared that they went through a truly difficult time – they described it as ‘absolute hell.’ It’s a powerful reminder that everyone faces challenges, and their honesty is really inspiring.

Lily has been through a tough time, but we still have fun together. I don’t think we’ll ever lose that playful connection we had growing up.

Andi mentioned that Lily really struggled last year and went through a very difficult time. It’s been amazing to watch her recover and rebuild her life.

I’m so proud of Miquita. Going bankrupt was incredibly difficult for her, but she managed to rebuild her life, just like Lily did.

Lily had a difficult year that began with her divorce from David after they’d been married for four years.

After her relationship ended, Lily went to a mental health facility for help. She shared on her podcast that her main focus was on being a good mom.

On her podcast, Miss Me? with Miquita, Lily recently shared that she’s been very busy this year.

I completed an album, had breast augmentation surgery, experienced a mental health crisis requiring hospitalization, recovered, briefly hosted a podcast, and then took on a very demanding role in a play – performing as Hedda Gabler for seven weeks, which felt emotionally draining.

Lily is now dating Jonah Freud, and they were spotted together at Paris Fashion Week on Tuesday.

Jonah is the son of Matthew Freud, a successful entrepreneur, and Caroline Hutton, his former wife. He’s also the nephew of the renowned artist Lucian Freud, who is now deceased.

Okay, so the buzz is definitely real! I’m hearing reports that this couple has been going on quite a few dates, and things are getting serious. They recently took a romantic trip to Italy, apparently splurging on a gorgeous suite at the Hotel Locarno – I’m told it’s around £800 a night! Sounds like a lovely getaway, and a clear sign they’re getting pretty serious about each other.

Shortly after her vacation, Lily traveled to Paris and was spotted going to a party during the city’s Haute Couture Fashion Week.

Lily’s visit to Paris follows a romantic getaway to Rome with 28-year-old writer Jonah Freud, which happened after her split from her husband, David.

Just weeks after sharing a romantic kiss, Lily and Jonah took a short trip to Rome, signaling a deepening of their relationship.

She was seen on a coffee date with the writer outside the Sant’ Eustachio Caffè in Rome.

A witness saw Lily Allen in Rome and told The Sun that it was actually their daughter-in-law who first spotted her, exclaiming, “Oh my God, it’s Lily Allen!”

We were really surprised to see her – it was definitely her, and she was with Jonah Freud. They were simply enjoying coffee and a cigarette together.

After weeks of rumors about a romance with writer Jonah Freud, they were seen kissing at her Christmas party in London’s Stringfellow’s club in December.

The pop star made a bold statement with her outfit, a striking contrast to last Christmas when reports say she spent the holidays alone after her breakup with actor David Harbour.

TMZ obtained photos showing her and Jonah embracing, and later, kissing in front of everyone at the event.

Just before that, Lily was seen on what appeared to be a romantic dinner date with Jonah at a restaurant in West London.

Lily dismissed the rumors about her marriage while enjoying a night out at the highly-rated Dorian restaurant in Notting Hill.

The two seemed comfortable and happy together while enjoying dinner, and reportedly spent over two hours in each other’s company before departing on their own.

They were also photographed together in September at an Oasis-themed party at the Chiltern Firehouse.
