Lily Allen flashes washboard abs in stylish navy halter neck and £3000 of Miu Miu accessories as she enjoys New York shopping spree
As a storyteller, I find myself captivated by the tales of those who have walked the uncharted paths of life, and Lily Allen’s misadventure in St. Barts is no exception. This popstar, known for her candid wit and unapologetic spirit, has once again proven that she doesn’t shy away from sharing her quirks with the world.
On Monday, Lily Allen exuded casual elegance during her shopping trip in New York City.
As an absolutely smitten admirer, I can’t help but gush over the jaw-dropping display of the iconic Smile hitmaker, at 39 years young. She gracefully showcased her toned midriff in a navy halter neck top, complementing it with some trendy, low-slung denim jeans that oozed effortless style.
The singer-turned-actress donned the as-yet unreleased New Balance x Miu Miu leather sneakers, lending them an air of high-fashion flair.
Directly off the catwalk, these shoes retail for £820, and Lily carefully coordinated them with a similarly hued £2,000 Miu Miu leather handbag.
Lily, with her current style featuring red hair and a fringed look, slung a striped jacket (pale blue and white) casually across her shoulder while she held a large shopping bag in hand.
On previous occasions, Lily has demonstrated her affection for high-end fashion by sporting an entire ensemble from the Miu Miu brand, such as during her unexpected duet with Olivia Rodrigo at the London O2 in May. This is not a novelty for her.
Lily looked sensational as she flashed her abs in a white tank top and black Miu Miu mini skirt.
In her latest appearance, she shared an anecdote about a past incident where, upon mistakenly booking a hotel on the wrong island, she found herself stranded on a beach. In a desperate attempt to resolve the situation, she asked Roman Abramovich, then owner of Chelsea Football Club, if she could stay with him instead.
Previously, Lily attended a performance by Prince at a modest bar located on the tropical isle of St. Barts during the final days of the previous year, prior to his passing. Notable attendees besides her were Justin and Hailey Bieber as well as Wendi Deng.
Back in 2016, I found myself enjoying a vacation with my former boyfriend, DJ Daniel Lawrence. Remarkably, during that time, the generous Roman extended an invitation for us to stay at his luxurious private abode, making our getaway even more memorable.
She mentioned that she and Dan were vacationing in St. Kitts, but a friend of hers was in St. Barts, and she hadn’t quite realized just how distant it was.
When you’re in the heart of the Caribbean, it’s natural to glance at a map and wonder, “How distant is that location?
‘So my friend Derek was like “Hey, come and see Prince play tonight”. And I was like “Ok”.
We traveled from St Kitts to St Martin by air first, approximately a 20-minute trip, followed by a motorboat journey during the night that surprisingly lasted for about two hours. The sea was rough with huge waves, making it an obvious miscalculation.
‘Anyway we got there and then went to see Prince and that was great.
Later, I reserved a room through Booking.com or a similar site, and once the concert ended, we started leaving the venue. Meanwhile, I was struggling to locate my hotel booking details.
Lily then explained she was at Roman’s party when she discovered she had nowhere to stay.
As I strolled by, one of his security personnel was beside me. I was searching for my hotel booking and inquired, “By any chance, do you know where this hotel is located?” To which he replied, “Indeed, it’s not on this island; it’s situated elsewhere.
I exclaimed in surprise, ‘Wow!’ As we strolled along with a crowd of around 300 people who had attended this party, I realized with a sigh, ‘Oh dear, we don’t seem to have any place to rest tonight, it looks like we might just have to sleep on the beach.’
I haven’t personally met Roman Abramovich, but I found myself saying something along the lines of, “I’ll go ask him if it’s possible for us to remain.
“I approached him and said, ‘Hey, we haven’t met before, but I made a mistake when booking a hotel room through Booking.com. It appears that the hotel isn’t actually on this island. I was wondering if you have any place where I could stay for the night?’
‘He was like, “Yeah, sure, of course, don’t worry about it – I’ve got you”.
The following day, I awoke unexpectedly due to our late arrival, which meant everything was shrouded in darkness. I had no clue about my location, only to find myself in an unfamiliar room that turned out to be the private villa of Roman Abramovich in St. Barts, and it was truly breathtaking.
‘There was no other home or anything to be seen and it was just like views for days.’
On the Miss Me? podcast, when asked by friend Miquita Oliver if there had been any communication with Abramovich since then, Allen replied: ‘Not since then; I believe I may have sent a note of gratitude, but we’ve never spoken again.’
‘His kind gesture towards me was truly heartwarming, and I am deeply thankful. However, I’m unsure if I desire a long-term connection with him.’
