Lily Allen enjoys cosy date with handsome mystery man in Notting Hill after poking fun at her ex-husband David Harbour’s infidelity

Lily Allen was spotted on a cozy date with an unidentified man at a small restaurant in north London on Tuesday.

The 40-year-old singer, who recently explored her ex-husband David Harbour’s infidelity in her album West End Girl, enjoyed a night out at the highly-rated Dorian restaurant in Notting Hill.

The two reportedly enjoyed a meal lasting more than two hours before departing in different directions.

Lily quietly left the restaurant, pulling her coat and scarf tighter around herself and carrying a bag of takeout.

Daily Mail has contacted Lily’s reps for comment.

This is the first time the singer has been spotted out publicly since her brief romance with actor James Norton earlier in the year.

The singer and actor were seen getting close at a Charli XCX concert in London in June, after apparently connecting on the exclusive dating app Raya.

According to a source, James and Lily were very affectionate with each other, kissing passionately behind the scenes.

‘We were all quite surprised to see them there together, let alone kissing.

They hadn’t known each other for very long, but they had a great time relaxing backstage and really connected with the atmosphere.

Daily Mail contacted Lily and James’ reps at the time for comment.

So, things are heating up with my latest date! It happened shortly after I playfully teased David about the whole ‘mistress’ situation – you might remember I dressed up as Madeline, the little book character, as a little nod to it all. It was all in good fun, and now we’re seeing where things go!

The singer dressed as Madeline for a Halloween party at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, a nod to both the beloved children’s book character and her recently released, popular song of the same name.

Lily’s latest album explores the pain of her divorce, sparked by her ex-husband’s infidelity. A central question throughout the deeply personal record is repeatedly asked: ‘Who is Madeline?’ – seemingly the woman her ex-husband had an affair with.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I always love rediscovering charming classics! Many of you might remember the sweet story of Madeline, the little girl who lives at an old house in Paris. It was actually brought to life on the big screen in 1998, and a young actress named Hatty Jones did a wonderful job playing her!

For Vas J Morgan and Michael Braun’s Halloween party, the musician dressed as the character, sporting a blue pea coat and a red neckerchief.

She topped her school uniform off with a straw hat, Mary Jane shoes and added a bright orange wig.

The 1998 movie version of Madeline featured Frances McDormand as the nun Miss Clavel and Nigel Hawthorne as Lord Covington.

The story takes place in Paris in 1956 and centers on Madeline and twelve other students at a Catholic boarding school who are determined to save it from closing.

Lily’s new song, “Madeline,” came out last Friday. It’s featured on her album, West End Girl.

The singer responded to David’s cheating by singing about how she doesn’t believe a word he says.

In the song “Tennis,” Lily sings about a woman she suspects her partner is involved with, after spotting a text from her on his phone and questioning him about it.

This news follows a difficult period for Lily, who separated from her husband, David, in December. She publicly claimed he had been unfaithful throughout their marriage, including a three-year relationship with a younger costume designer.

And now there is one question on everyone’s lips – who is the real Madeline?

People are suggesting Lily’s new song is similar to Beyoncé’s ‘Becky with the good hair,’ a pointed lyric from her 2016 song ‘Sorry’ which was about infidelity.

It’s suspected that Madeline is a pseudonym Lily has used for legal reasons.

Dolly Parton’s classic song, “Jolene,” released in 1973, features the iconic lyrics: “Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, I’m begging of you, please don’t take my man.”

And it seems Lily has penned the new ‘Jolene’ – but this time she is called Madeline.

In her song ‘Tennis,’ Lily uses the sport as a stand-in for intimacy, expressing regret with the line, ‘So I read your text, and now I regret it.’

She went on to say she didn’t understand how he could be spending time playing tennis. She clarified that if their relationship was only about physical intimacy, she wouldn’t feel jealous.

‘You won’t play with me and who the f**k is Madeline?’

Okay, so the song just fades out with this incredible loop of ‘Da, da-da, da-da, who’s Madeline?’ – seriously, it’s stuck in my head! – and then, right at the very end, it’s like the singer is thinking out loud, questioning it all: ‘No, but who is Madeline, actually?’ It’s driving me crazy, I need to know!

The song focuses entirely on this affair, and she implies they had an open relationship where sexual encounters outside the partnership were allowed, as long as they remained casual and lacked emotional involvement.

Lily questions how long this affair has been happening and whether it’s just physical or involves real feelings. He promised to keep it secret, confined to hotel rooms, and she’s now wondering why she ever believed him.

‘I’m not convinced that he didn’t f**k you in our house’.

The chorus then goes: ‘We had an arrangement/ Be discrete and don’t be blatant.

‘There had to be payment/ It had to be with strangers/ But you’re not a stranger, Madeline’.

The song includes sections where the character Madeline sends text messages to Lily, bluntly stating that their relationship is purely physical and lacks any emotional depth.

We only connect when we’re together, and he always speaks about you with great respect.

Madeline later said she was really sorry to hear he was hurting and didn’t want to be the reason for his distress.

‘He told me you were aware this was going on and that he had your full consent.

If he isn’t telling the truth about this, please tell me. I don’t appreciate dishonesty.

I really don’t want to be dishonest, so I’m committed to telling the truth. Feel free to contact me whenever you need to – whether you want to talk things through, need more information, or just want to vent. Sending you love and positive energy, Madeline.

People on X were shocked by Lily’s candor, jokingly comparing her to the famous song ‘Jolene’ and the references to ‘Becky with the good hair,’ now adding ‘Madeline’ to the list.

When the Daily Mail asked about Madeline’s identity, Lily’s team chose not to make a statement.

Lily’s new album draws heavily from personal experiences, particularly a difficult divorce and instances of infidelity. She says the record openly reflects what she’s gone through in her own life.

She recently mentioned that her ex-husband wouldn’t answer questions about his three-year relationship with a coworker who was younger than him.

The singer ended her relationship with the Stranger Things actor after finding out he’d been having a three-year affair and was active on the exclusive dating app, Raya.
