Okay, so as a huge Lil Yachty fan, I’ve been following this whole thing with WrestleMania, and it’s honestly frustrating to see people try to rain on his parade. He just made his WWE debut on SmackDown, and immediately some wrestling fans started complaining about celebrities getting involved. He got invited to WrestleMania 42 by Trick Williams, which is awesome, but then the negativity started online. I love that he’s standing up for himself and reminding everyone that he’s a lifelong fan of wrestling – he deserves to be there just as much as anyone! It’s his moment, and nobody should try to take that away from him.

The drama started on April 3rd when rapper Lil Yachty showed up on WWE’s SmackDown. He teamed up with Trick Williams to ambush United States Champion Sami Zayn during an on-air interview. Williams then officially invited Yachty to join him at WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas for his championship match. While some fans liked the connection between Yachty and Williams, many others complained that WWE was using too many celebrities – like Jelly Roll, Pat McAfee, and iShowSpeed – in their main storylines leading up to their biggest event.

After a fan-made poster surfaced online, criticizing the focus on celebrities and corporate partnerships, Lil Yachty quickly defended his involvement.
