Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii ‘Dark Instruments’ Summons Include Man-Eating Sharks and a Giant Chimp
As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I can confidently say that the latest revelations about Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii have sent a wave of excitement coursing through me. The combat mechanics, particularly Goro Majima’s Mad Dog and Sea Dog fighting styles, promise an exhilarating blend of hand-to-hand and naval warfare that I can hardly wait to get my hands on.
As a gamer, I’m super excited to share some juicy details about Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii that SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio have just spilled the beans on! This game is going to be packed with action, and I can’t wait to get my hands on Goro Majima’s two unique fighting styles – ‘Mad Dog’ and ‘Sea Dog’.
Looted from the sunken vessels of defeated pirate adversaries at sea, Dark Instruments are accursed beings that can be summoned to assist you in combat. These enchanted tools include a violin capable of summoning man-eating sharks, an electric guitar that unleashes a colossal chimpanzee, a saxophone that summons a tornado-creating bird, and an ocarina that materializes an electrifying jellyfish.
Regarding Majima’s fighting techniques, Mad Dog employs a mix of punches, kicks, and swift knife attacks, along with a Madness Gauge that, when filled, summons a group of shadowy counterparts to join the battle on your behalf. The Sea Dog style sees Majima wielding two cutlasses, while filling the Madness Gauge provides access to the previously mentioned Dark Instruments.
In addition to the cutlass, Majima will also be equipped with a boomerang, pistol, and chain hook when utilizing the Sea Dog style. For naval battles, you’ll navigate the Goro Maru, unleashing cannon fire, followed by boarding the enemy ship for an intense sword fight against the crew and their captain, engaging in a full-scale ship battle on deck.
You can customize and personalize the Goro Maru ship and its team by adding armor and weaponry to help secure victories on the open sea. On land, the Pirate’s Coliseum in Madlantis provides a battlefield for individual duels or wild free-for-alls.
Following the exciting conclusion of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming release of Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, which will delve deeper into Majima’s captivating tale! This thrilling adventure is set to debut on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC on the 21st of February, 2025. To make things even more enticing, by subscribing to SEGA’s newsletter, you’ll receive a fantastic Kiryu ‘Dragon of Dojima’ outfit!
