Following its partnership with Needles, Madhappy is joining forces with another well-known Japanese fashion brand, HYSTERIC GLAMOUR, for their next collaborative project. Together, they are embracing the laid-back California summer ambiance and venturing towards the beach with a collection inspired by surf culture.
This coming week, the initial collaboration between Madhappy and Hysteric Glamour, set for sale, is a tribute to the spirit of Malibu and what they call, “the California frame of mind.
Madhappy teamed up with Nobuhiko Kitamura’s renowned Japanese brand for a collection influenced by the fashion, cultural environment, and cheerful vibe of Southern California, as detailed in an Instagram post. The brands found common ground in the contrasts that shape our realities – the peaks and valleys. As such, this collection serves as a tribute and ongoing investigation into the spirit of California.
With that sentiment guiding the selection of apparel, Madhappy and Hysteric Glamour connected on a capsule of sweat sets – hoodies, zip-ups, sweatpants and sweatshorts – in colorways including pastel pink, white, light purple and blue.
