Liam Neeson & Stranger Things Star Battle Killer Fungus in Cold Storage Teaser Trailer

The company, Samuel Goldwyn Films, has unveiled the first sneak peek of the upcoming science fiction comedy titled Cold Storage, featuring Liam Neeson and Joe Keery in the main roles.

Teacake and Naomi, two young workers at a self-storage business located on an old military base in the U.S., experience their most thrilling night shift yet when a dangerous fungus accidentally releases from the deepest level of the facility. This fungus, sealed away by the government years prior, rapidly multiplies and spreads its mind-controlling, body-destructive powers among the facility’s occupants – both human and non-human. With the guidance of a seasoned retired bioterror expert, Teacake and Naomi race against time to control the deadly threat and prevent the extinction of humanity.

What happens in the Cold Storage teaser trailer?

Keery and Georgina Campbell play the roles of Teacake and Naomi, two workers who venture into the depths of an old military storage complex. They stumble upon a potent fungus that triggers human brains to explode. Throughout their exploration, they encounter unusual occurrences within the facility, with a notable instance being a deer using an elevator.

As a concerned individual, I find myself in a dire predicament alongside Teacake and Naomi. We’re compelled to join forces with an expert in bioterrorism, portrayed by Neeson, to halt the advance of a deadly fungus that threatens our very existence as humans.

The Cold Storage film features actors like Sosie Bacon, Vanessa Redgrave, and Lesley Manville. Notably, Redgrave is Liam Neeson’s ex-mother-in-law; their marriage to Natasha Richardson (Redgrave’s daughter) took place in 1994 and ended with her sad passing in 2009.

Jonny Campbell is the director of Cold Storage, a film scripted by David Koepp, who has previously worked on Jurassic World: Rebirth in 2025 and Black Bag. The book that inspired this movie was penned by Koepp himself in 2019. Alongside Koepp, Gavin Polone will also produce the film.

Cold Storage will be released in theaters nationwide in 2026.
