Liam Gallagher touched down in Sydney on Wednesday.
People were surprised to see the 53-year-old former Oasis singer arrive on his private jet dressed in a retro Australian style.
He wore his usual loose-fitting parka, paired with a floral shirt, jeans, and slip-on shoes. A green cork hat completed his look, giving it a distinctly local feel.
Liam wore a soft hat with a wide brim, decorated with corks hanging from strings around the edge.
The old-fashioned cap is an Australian staple, with the swinging corks designed to ward off flies.
Although now a popular item for tourists, the cork hat originally served a practical purpose for people living in the Australian outback during the 18th and 19th centuries.

In the Australian Outback, workers began wearing cork hats to keep flies out of their eyes, mouths, and ears.
The idea was that swinging corks would keep flies away before they became bothersome.
Liam quickly walked across the airport pavement, a travel bag slung over his shoulder and dark sunglasses hiding his eyes, before getting into a van that was waiting for him.
Fans are speculating that rock star Liam is responding to recent online drama surrounding his band, after he was spotted wearing a very recognizable Australian hat.
Fans at the Oasis reunion concert in Melbourne were surprised and amused when Noel and Liam Gallagher playfully imitated an Australian accent during their performance on Friday.
During a performance of their hit song “Don’t Look Back in Anger” with a crowd of 55,000 at Marvel Stadium, the band made a funny remark.
While playing the chorus, 58-year-old guitarist Noel playfully teased the audience about their strong Australian accents.
Noel, clearly puzzled, exclaimed, “Anga? What on earth is ‘anga’?” Liam watched, finding the situation amusing.

As a huge fan, I was really disappointed to see the band from Manchester poking fun at the Australian accent online. It immediately sparked a lot of angry reactions from fans across social media, and honestly, it was pretty upsetting to watch.
‘As if he says it any better LMAO,’ one person quipped.
‘He’s insufferable,’ a second added and another chimed in: ‘International bully’.
However, another suggested the brothers were simply displaying their trademark cheeky humour.
Someone commented that they were present last night and didn’t expect anyone to be upset by the remark, explaining that friendly banter about pronunciation differences between the British and Australians has been happening for over two hundred years.
The tour began with a striking opening night in Australia on Friday, following a series of bold statements from the brothers.
Oasis kicked off their Australian tour with a high-energy concert at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium, playing to a huge crowd of enthusiastic fans. The show was completely sold out.
The famous brothers were surprised mid-performance of “Champagne Supernova” when a fan ignited flares during the concert.
Video of the event captures a bright red light shining on the people with nosebleeds, just before a flare was thrown into the crowd.

It fell to the floor in the middle of the crowded, energetic crowd, glowing brightly and causing people to try and move out of the way.
Liam and Noel, ages 53 and unspecified, continued their performance despite the disturbance. The younger brother spoke about the dangerous behavior after finishing a song.
Liam playfully scolded whoever had misbehaved, wagging his finger and saying, “That was naughty!” three times before getting back to the performance.
However, according to one attendee, Noel ‘looked worried’ about the incident.
Liam later took to social media to slam the culprit yet again.
The person who set off a flare into the crowd at last night’s Melbourne concert is in serious trouble. The artist promised they will face consequences for their actions.
Oasis is returning to Melbourne on Tuesday before continuing their tour to New South Wales. They’re expected to play their hit song, ‘Wonderwall,’ and other popular tracks.
They will put on shows in Sydney at the Accor Stadium on Friday and Saturday, on November 7 and 8.
It is the first time they have toured the country since 2005.
