Lewis Hamilton’s Epic Ferris Bueller Recreation for Ferrari Debut!
Lewis Hamilton, famously, has reenacted a moment from the film “Ferris Bueller‘s Day Off,” with his cherished Ferrari automobile standing in as the star of the show.
In a different scenario, the Formula One racer, aged 40, who transitioned from Mercedes to Ferrari for the 2025 season, portrays a garage worker who illegally borrows a Ferrari for a thrilling ride around the streets of Chicago.
Back in ’86, I was utterly smitten by a comedy flick, and let me tell you, it wasn’t just its humor that had my heart racing! You see, this movie showcased Hamilton’s dream car – the stunning Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder. To this day, nothing gets me more excited than those sleek lines and that timeless roar of a classic Italian engine.
Lewis, employing his film production company, Dawn Apollo Films, to feature himself within the movie, posted the video on Instagram before the commencement of the Australian Grand Prix, marking the start of the Formula 1 season.
In the caption he wrote: ‘No better way to start the season than by fulfilling another dream.
Since I was young, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off has been one of my cherished films. To honor this timeless classic and celebrate my debut season with Ferrari, I am penning this tribute. It required advanced technology, meticulous production, and careful planning to bring it to life as we know it today.

I also needed to secure the same car model… It’s been my dream vehicle ever since watching the movie. A big shout-out to @edwardnortonofficial for joining me on this adventure. This level of enthusiasm and anticipation is what I’m carrying onto the track this year. VAMOS !! (Spanish for “Let’s go”!)
This production is a collaboration between Dawna Pollo Films and Large Eyes, with heartfelt appreciation to Paramount Pictures and all those who contributed to its creation.
Lewis is quite amazed, almost as if he can hardly believe it, before his initial race with Ferrari following his contentious move away from Mercedes towards the close of the previous season.
At the PUMA x Ferrari 20 Years of Speed celebration, Hamilton expressed his thoughts about joining Ferrari: “I find myself starting something completely fresh, which I hadn’t anticipated reaching at age 40. It’s a surprise that still feels surreal to me.
The following week, I will find myself at the race, commencing a Grand Prix, dressed in red. Let me tell you, this is… incredible. To be honest, I can’t quite articulate the extent of my excitement. However, I’m trying my best to stay composed and collected, but make no mistake, participating in red (at Melbourne) will be an unforgettable experience.
Hamilton, who began his official tenure with Ferrari in January, acknowledged that the swift transition before the Australian Grand Prix wasn’t perfect. However, he was eager and thrilled to resume racing once more.
As we bid farewell to this chilly season, I find myself reflecting on its seemingly paradoxical nature – stretching endlessly yet fleeting by. However, amid the winter’s contrasting tones, I am deeply appreciative of the thorough testing we completed just recently.
I can hardly believe that the race is just a week away, so I’m already planning my trip to Australia, which begins on Friday. That’s when it will start feeling more real. As the weekend approaches, it’ll become a bit more tangible. In fact, I’ve been feeling quite excited about it all along.

‘I feel we are as best prepared as we could be, given the short space of time that I have had.
Although there are more things to pick up, I can hardly wait to dive in. I have a strong passion for racing, which overshadows most other interests. Essentially, racing is my true passion. The experience of being in Melbourne will evoke memories of my initial Grand Prix races there.
The multiple world champion also shared insights about his experience at Ferrari and the emotions he’s felt since joining the team.
Each day here feels uniquely satisfying, it doesn’t seem like work at all and I can’t imagine leaving. It’s quite memorable.
Here we are, surrounded by this amazing location, filled with Puma’s presence and a collection of historical automobiles. It’s truly captivating to experience, in person, the chronicles of Ferrari’s past.
The event not only served as a celebration but also marked the unveiling of Ferrari’s race kit for the year 2025. Moreover, Maria Valdes, as the Chief Product Officer of Puma Group, emphasized the historical significance of Ferrari in the design of the racing suit.

I believe our 2025 vision was simply outstanding. It masterfully combined groundbreaking innovation, top-tier performance, and the enduring spirit of Ferrari’s legacy.
I find this year particularly special too, not just due to our 20-year partnership milestone, but also because we have an exceptional group of drivers on the Ferrari team.
As a die-hard enthusiast, I’m constantly striving to put the athlete at the forefront of everything we do. My aim is always to provide an impeccable fit and unparalleled comfort. Every innovation we create is designed with the goal of making them the most triumphant team this year.
