Lewis Capaldi’s expletive-filled reaction after couple get engaged at his London show as he exclaims ‘That’s f*****g amazing’

Lewis Capaldi seemed shocked and reacted with some strong language when a couple got engaged during his concert at the London O2 on Thursday night.

The 28-year-old musician is currently on his first UK tour since making a successful return to performing, starting with his comeback show at Glastonbury in June.

And his third show in London night was made extra special after their was a proposal in the crowd.

With the crowd roaring and the camera focusing on a couple in the audience, Lewis started speaking: ‘It looks like someone just got engaged, or something like that.’

‘Congratulations, I f*****g s**t myself. Wow, congratulations.’

He playfully suggested the couple weren’t genuine, saying, ‘It’s all a performance – they’re hired actors. But I’m just kidding, it was nothing like that.’

The singer then introduced and performed his new song, “Something In The Heavens,” which came out on Thursday.

‘Right, everybody. what was I gonna say? Oh yeah, I released a new song this evening.

Yes, it’s a new song I’ve been hinting at for a few weeks. People have responded well, so we decided to release it and let everyone hear it.

He playfully said he was planning to release the song regardless, explaining it was the new track that just came out.

I’m still adjusting to talking between songs, as you can probably hear. I’m gradually getting back into the swing of things.

‘But yeah, this is my new song, it’s called Something in the Heavens. I hope you like it.’

Lewis was spotted taking the London Underground on Wednesday, even though he’s worth £7.5 million and his show in London was sold out.

Lewis Capaldi has significantly increased his wealth over time, even though he took a break from his career in 2023 while managing his Tourette’s Syndrome.

As of December 2024, his accounting firm, Face Like Thunder, was worth over £4.3 million. He also has a successful touring company, Face Like Thunder Touring, with £400,000 in its account as of last year, and owns a London home valued at £3 million.

Even though Lewis has considerable wealth, he doesn’t seem to be spending it lavishly. He was recently seen at North Greenwich station, likely heading to one of his performances, showing he prefers a more down-to-earth lifestyle.

Lewis posed for a selfie with authors Ian Redpath and Jeremy Chopra from AllOnTheBoard, smiling and giving a thumbs up.
