Leonardo DiCaprio’s new film releases first trailer
Following the release of “Licorice Pizza,” filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson is set to unveil his next big production, titled “One Battle After Another,” which boasts an impressive ensemble cast.
After an intriguing sneak peek, Warner Bros has unveiled the initial trailer featuring Leonardo DiCaprio as the main actor in a darkly humorous movie.
Under the guidance of director Anderson, “One Battle After Another” unfolds as the tale of Bob Ferguson, portrayed by DiCaprio, a once-ardent revolutionary who joins forces with his former rebel comrades in an attempt to save his own child.

The trailer begins as we see a noticeably tense Bob, entering a convenience store to pick up a pair of sunglasses. He then uses a payphone to dial a number.
The trailer starts off showing a worried-looking Bob, buying some sunglasses at a store and later making a call from a public phone.
Later, he’s posed a set of queries to verify his identity, yet he answers incorrectly on the final one. However, despite his appeals to disregard the passwords and seek assistance in locating his daughter, the individual at the other end terminates the call instead.
In addition to the main cast, Teyana Taylor is featured, portraying the mother of Bob’s child. She embarks on this emotional journey with him as they both seek answers dramatically.
Simultaneously, the teenager portrayed by Chase Infiniti, who seems to have inherited his mother’s sharpshooting abilities, can be spotted firing a machine gun in an open field.
Sean Penn, Benicio del Toro, Regina Hall, along with musician Alana Haim, who reunites with director Anderson after their collaboration in “Licorice Pizza“, join the cast as well. Shayna McHale, DW Moffett, and Wood Harris also take on supporting roles in this production.
The film is said to be loosely based on Thomas Pynchon’s 1990 novel Vineland.
In 2019, Anderson’s film is his second interpretation of the American author’s work, following “Inherent Vice” from 2014. This new production features a principal cast that includes Joaquin Phoenix, Josh Brolin, Owen Wilson, and Katherine Waterston.
One Battle After Another will be released in cinemas on September 26.
