Leonardo DiCaprio's charity gala hosted by Jamie Foxx raises staggering $2.5M at Art Basel in Miami

As someone who has always admired Leonardo DiCaprio’s dedication towards environmental conservation, I was simply blown away by his latest endeavor at Art Basel Miami. The man never ceases to amaze me! From his star-studded charity gala that raised an astounding $2.5 million for Re:wild, to the exclusive pieces of art and lavish trips up for bidding, it was truly a night to remember.

On Friday, Leonardo DiCaprio hosted a highly successful charity event for his wildlife preservation group, Re:wild, during Art Basel in Miami.

As a die-hard admirer, I can’t help but share the thrilling news: I, the 50-year-old actor, orchestrated an unforgettable charity event, filled with A-list celebrities! The highlight of the night was an auction that generated an astounding $2.5 million for my cause – a transformation of my former organization, once known as the Global Wildlife Conservation. The funds raised will make a significant impact in our mission to protect and preserve wildlife!

At a luxurious private home in Miami, the renowned Jamie Foxx served as the host for an eco-friendly gala, organized by a worldwide charity dedicated to preserving and rejuvenating natural habitats.

Foxx and actress Soleil Moon Frye oversaw an auction that showcased more than just artwork available for purchase; it also included lavish travel packages to destinations such as Madagascar, Argentina, Ecuador, and Rwanda, according to Page Six.

A host of well-known figures such as Steve Aoki, Daymond John, Dustin Yellin, Todd Graves, among others, graced the event. They lent their support for a cause aimed at helping indigenous communities, local leaders, and environmental organizations dedicated to preserving our planet.

Leonardo DiCaprio, who traveled to Florida for Art Basel this week without his alleged fiancee Vittoria Ceretti, 26, in tow, was spotted mingling around at the yearly art fair before attending an exclusive event.

This past week, the Academy Award recipient was spotted socializing among art lovers and attempting to maintain a discreet presence at various art exhibits while examining the works of art being offered for purchase.

At a recent gathering I attended, artwork from renowned artists was up for grabs at an exclusive auction. Among these unique pieces were a striking tiger sculpture by Vasily Klyukin, an intriguing work by Sterling Ruby, and a captivating painting titled ‘Tiger on Last Legs’, created by none other than Adrien Brody himself.

In attention to his environmental activism, DiCaprio has long been involved in philanthropy.

In 2020, the Titanic star helped launch America’s Food Fund in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Last year, I partnered with Earth Alliance to kickstart essential funding projects such as the Amazon Forest Fund, a crucial initiative aimed at preserving and rejuvenating our planet’s most invaluable woodlands.

In September 2014, he earned the title of United Nations Envoy of Peace due to his years-long dedication to environmental advocacy.

Additionally, he is a member of various board committees, including those for the Natural Resources Defense Council, the International Fund for Animal Welfare, and the Earth Alliance.

Based on information from their official site, Re:wild aims to safeguard and revitalize natural habitats, as this approach is considered the most potent solution for addressing the interrelated challenges of climate change, loss of species diversity, and human welfare.

Leonardo DiCaprio has been instrumental in securing over $200 million in funding for numerous worldwide environmental initiatives aimed at preserving marine life, safeguarding biodiversity, and assisting indigenous populations.

At Art Basel, the leading actor of “Killers of the Flower Moon” did not have Vittoria Ceretti, his partner, present with him.

Lately, there’s been a buzz on social media about him and his girlfriend, as they sparked speculation with a viral rumor suggesting their engagement.

Recently, DiCaprio and Ceretti took a joyous vacation to Mexico, where they celebrated DiCaprio’s 50th birthday together with his mother.
