Leonardo DiCaprio rubs shoulders with Mick Jagger as the pair beam in snaps alongside Pierce Brosnan and his son Dylan as he celebrates his lates film  One Battle After Another

Leonardo DiCaprio beamed as he chatted with Mick Jagger at a party celebrating his new movie, One Battle After Another, on Thursday night.

The 51-year-old actor, known for usually keeping to himself with a cap and sunglasses, seemed cheerful at the event held at The Hart Pub in Marylebone, London.

He opted for a classic look with a satin shirt and a black jacket when he posed for a photo with the 82-year-old Rolling Stones icon, who added a pop of color with a bright orange and purple scarf and a black cap.

Pierce Brosnan and his son Dylan joined the two individuals at the event, and the three of them were seen smiling together.

Director Olivia Wilde was also in attendance alongside Hannah Waddingham and Richard Gadd.  

Leonardo DiCaprio looked sharp in a brown plaid suit on Wednesday while at a Q&A event at BFI Southbank to discuss his new movie.

Paul Thomas Anderson’s latest film, an action-packed thriller inspired by Thomas Pynchon’s novel Vineland, has received overwhelmingly positive reviews, with some critics calling it a landmark achievement for its generation.

In “One Battle After Another,” Leo portrays Bob Ferguson, a troubled and paranoid revolutionary living off the grid with his daughter, Willa. Bob shares custody of Willa with Perfidia, played by Teyana Taylor.

The movie centers on Bob’s journey to find his daughter, and his reunion with old friends to help him. Benicio Del Toro plays his mentor, teaching him to overcome his fears along the way.

The thrilling and darkly funny film features Sean Penn as Bob’s arch-enemy, Colonel Steven J. Lockjaw, and Regina Hall as the rebel leader, Deandra.

Leonardo mentioned at a BFI event on Wednesday that Paul is a deeply thoughtful person who really considers his ideas carefully. He explained that this process ultimately shows up in Paul’s work on screen.

I recall meeting him years ago. He unexpectedly stopped by my place while I was with my friend, Lukas Haas, and we just started chatting.

It wasn’t really about a specific project, but I sensed he was subtly preparing for something. He mentioned a possible future collaboration, but it felt distant and uncertain. I turned to my friend Lukas and said, ‘I’m not sure if he’s hinting at a project or what he’s getting at.’

After that, people began talking, and it became known that Paul lives in Tarzana. Tarzana is a part of Los Angeles that feels both distant and connected – it’s far enough away to feel separate, but still within driving distance.

I visited him, and I remember a really odd restaurant we went to – it felt like something straight out of the movie The Shining.

The restaurant was empty of customers, but all the staff were present and the food was actually quite good. The decor felt a bit dated, like it hadn’t been updated since the 1970s.

It started with discussions, which then evolved into workshops, and eventually led to the development of a script.

Steven Spielberg, a highly respected figure in film, enthusiastically praised the movie, calling it incredibly action-packed. He stated that the first hour alone contained more action than all of the films he’d ever seen combined, and described the overall experience as phenomenal.

It’s a really strange but surprisingly relevant mix of ideas – I actually think it’s become more relevant now than it was when the movie was first made and everyone started working on it.

In a review for The Daily Mail, Brian Viner gave the film five stars, noting that while Leonardo DiCaprio is in it, another actor actually delivers the most memorable performance. He describes the film as both hilariously funny and powerfully exciting.

Oh my gosh, Sean Penn is just… magnetic. He absolutely owns every single second he’s on screen as this totally unhinged army officer. You can practically feel his obsession, starting with this intense, consuming lust, and then it twists into pure, burning hatred. Honestly, when his world finally falls apart, it was genuinely shocking – like, I haven’t been that surprised by anything I’ve seen in a movie all year. It was just… breathtaking.

Wes Anderson previously created a standout film of the 2000s with 2007’s There Will Be Blood, and his latest work is just as impressive. It’s inspired by Thomas Pynchon’s novel Vineland.

He believes the artist knows they’ve created something truly remarkable, and predicts we might see them win an Academy Award in the future.
