Leonardo DiCaprio and Vittoria Ceretti escape LA fires on private jet despite being ‘climate warrior’

Leonardo DiCaprio and his girlfriend, model Vittoria Ceretti, were observed landing in Mexico via a private aircraft, as the catastrophic wildfires raged through Los Angeles.

Over 100,000 individuals were evacuated, and famous celebrities like Tom Hanks, Anthony Hopkins, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus lost their homes to destruction; however, Leonardo DiCaprio arrived in Cabo San Lucas on Friday.

It was surprising, considering Leo’s standing as an environmental activist, that he chose to travel by private jet amidst a severe natural catastrophe impacting his local community.

In his capacity as founder, the 50-year-old Academy Award recipient, Leonardo DiCaprio, has financed more than $80 million worth of grants aimed at addressing climate change and promoting sustainability.

Clad in a relaxed hoodie and ball cap, Leo exuded nonchalance as he disembarked the plane, accompanied by Ceretti, aged 26, who was dressed entirely in black attire.

Back in 2023, I found myself right there, shoulder to shoulder with the beloved duo, none other than my idol, Leo DiCaprio, and his precious partner, as fate would have it. And who else but Leo’s father, George DiCaprio, and his beloved spouse, Peggy Ann Farrar, graced our presence too! It was a day I’ll never forget.

Additionally, on Friday, it was noticed that both Seinfeld’s and Curb Your Enthusiasm’s creator, Larry David, had arrived at the Cabo airport.

With the fires still burning, numerous prominent figures in Hollywood are finding themselves struggling emotionally as they confront the devastating loss of their residences.

On the other hand, some have experienced good fortune – Tom Hanks, Kate Hudson, Mark Hamill, among others, found that their properties were spared from the fire.

Leo took a vacation following his outing with his 81-year-old father George, who is known for establishing a waterbed company, to the prestigious Bird Street Club in West Hollywood last December.

Though the lunch date was brief, it’s clear Leo and George share a strong bond.

Even though George was separated from Leo’s biological mother, Irmelin Indenbirken, soon after Leo’s birth, he remained actively involved in raising his son.

Initially, George was a struggling professional who specialized in installing asbestos and fire-resistant rooftops. However, he shifted gears and ventured into entrepreneurship by establishing a business that sold waterbeds, which he creatively named Foggy Bottom.

George has been married to Peggy Ann Farrar since 1995, but he first encountered Irmelin back in 1963, when she was pursuing a career as a legal secretary in New York City.

After getting married and relocating to Los Angeles, the couple’s union began to fray by 1974, a time when Irmelin was carrying their child.

On their final visit to Florence, a playful kick from infant Leo during a viewing of a Da Vinci artwork at the Uffizi Gallery sparked inspiration in Irmelin, leading her to bestow her son’s name upon the great Renaissance artist.

In Hollywood, George and Irmelin stopped living together but maintained a close parenting relationship. They chose to live in neighboring bungalows, sharing a garden, to bring up Leo together.

During a romantic trip to Italy earlier this year, Leo and Vittoria sparked rumors as Vittoria was spotted wearing a heart-shaped diamond ring.

It was discovered later on that she had actually owned the ring since 2022, a time well before her relationship with the Hollywood actor started.

Even so, the pair’s connection remains a hot topic among spectators – much like Leonardo, who maintains an equally captivating allure both in front of and behind the camera.
