Leo Woodall’s £135 Shirt from Bridget Jones Scene Sells Out in Just 4 Days!

One unforgettable scene from the newest Bridget Jones movie stands out… and it’s not only memorable due to its nostalgic nod to the incident that cemented Colin Firth’s status as a romantic idol more than 30 years ago.

In the fresh romantic comedy, the main character’s younger boyfriend, Roxster (portrayed by Leo Woodall), jumps into a pool in his clothes to rescue a dog, leaving his fitted white shirt wet and accentuating his toned physique from his workouts.

Oh, that moment crafted to ignite our fervor, mirroring the exact sensation we felt when Colin Firth, embodying the iconic Mr. Darcy, stepped out of a lake in the 1995 television rendition of Pride and Prejudice. Truly, it was a scene that left us breathless!

However, it isn’t only the physical appearance of 28-year-old Woodall that leaves viewers yearning for more; it’s also his shirtless self that captures their attention.

The “PS by Paul Smith” seersucker shirt priced at £135 is now unavailable – it was snapped up in only four days following the release of Bridget Jones: About The Boy.

According to director Michael Morris, the pivotal pool scene, which was shot last summer, required two full days of filming and numerous trial runs to perfect. He admitted that the BBC’s adaptation of Pride and Prejudice served as a significant source of inspiration for this project.

He mentioned that Molly Emma Rowe, our costume designer, and he collaborated on creating an ideal fit for the shirt he’s wearing.

As a devoted admirer, I can’t stress enough how crucial it was for me to witness that instant when he emerged from the water and removed that layer, that moment was absolutely vital.

Regarding the £135 priced shirt, Rowe emphasized that Roxster should opt for casual wear instead, because, unlike many of our other characters, he doesn’t possess a large amount of extra money to spend.

He’s so engrossed in pondering trash, recycling, and environmental matters that he hardly gives clothing a thought.

Without a doubt, it’s not by chance that Firth, at 64 years old, transitioned from playing Fitzwilliam Darcy in the Austen adaptation to Mark Darcy in the Bridget Jones series; however, in the most recent installment, his character, having been written off, is seen only in flashback.

In 1995, the Irish linen shirt he wore was designed by Dinah Collin of Cosprop, a specialist in period costumes. This particular piece was quite popular, and when it went up for auction last year, it fetched £26,000 – double its initial valuation.

Hey there! If you’re yearning to own a PS shirt just like Woodall’s, I’d suggest starting your savings right away. Keep your fingers crossed because who knows, it might show up at an auction someday!
