Leo Woodall stars in first-look trailer for new TV series from Sherlock writer

Apple TV+ has unveiled the initial teaser for the upcoming thriller, titled “Prime Target,” featuring Leonardo Woodall from “The White Lotus.” This enthralling series will be available later in the current month.

The video presents our main idea clearly: Woodall portrays a brilliant mathematician character named Edward Brooks, who questions the universally accepted rules of numbers that govern the world. However, his professor (David Morrissey from “The Walking Dead”) advises him to abandon these doubts.

Eventually, a variety of questionable individuals begin to zero in on him because his research may hold the solution to every digital security puzzle, a discovery that would inevitably cause global upheaval.

Initially, Taylah Sanders, formerly known as Quintessa Swindell and an NSA agent keeping tabs on our subject, later allies with Edward. At first, they flee together, but eventually decide to retaliate instead.

Developed by Steve Thompson, the writer behind “Sherlock,” in collaboration with Ridley Scott’s production team, this series boasts an impressive cast that includes Harry Lloyd from “Game of Thrones,” Stephen Rea known for his role in “The Crying Game,” Jason Flemyng who appeared in “X-Men: First Class,” and Sidse Babett Knudsen famed for her work on “Borgen.” These are just a few of the talented actors gracing our screens.

Fortunately, after the trailer’s debut, viewers can enjoy the show right away, as it will be airing on January 22nd.

In the meantime, Woodall will star alongside Dustin Hoffman in “Tuner”, a suspenseful movie where his character, a piano tuner, possesses abilities that could help unlock safes.

He’s set to feature in the fourth “Bridget Jones” film titled “Mad About the Boy”, portraying the role of Bridget’s new romantic interest following a sorrowful turn of events.

Global debut of “Prime Target” takes place on Apple TV+ starting January 22. Fresh installments will arrive each Wednesday, wrapping up with the final episode on March 5.
