LEGO reveals spooky Nightmare Before Christmas set
As a gamer with a soft spot for both LEGO builds and Tim Burton’s cinematic masterpieces, I can hardly contain my excitement over the upcoming release of the LEGO Ideas Disney’s Nightmare Before Christmas set! Growing up, this film was a staple in our household during Halloween and Christmas seasons (depending on who you asked), so having the opportunity to bring that magical world into my own home is simply enchanting.
Eagerly building upon the success of their “Jaws” creation, I’m thrilled to announce that LEGO has unveiled its newest LEGO Ideas masterpiece! This spine-tingling or holiday-themed model is bound to get you in the mood for some chills (or cheer)!
It’s now confirmed that LEGO is unveiling their long-anticipated set based on the beloved 1993 film “The Nightmare Before Christmas” before Halloween. However, if you consider it more of a Christmas movie, there’s always the option to wait for its release around that time as well.
Created by British Lego enthusiast Simon Scott, the 2,193-piece Nightmare Before Christmas set showcases three settings from the film: Disney’s Spiral Hill, Jack Skellington’s residence, and Halloween Town Hall.
The new product is scheduled to become available exclusively for LEGO Insiders members on September 3, 2024. If you register now (which is complimentary), you’ll get early access. On September 6, 2024, it will be released publicly.
As a longtime fan of Tim Burton’s work, I was absolutely thrilled when I stumbled upon the LEGO The Nightmare Before Christmas set! With my background in toy collecting and appreciation for intricate details, this set is right up my alley.
Following Simon Scott’s unveiling of his design, approximately 10,000 individuals cast their votes in favor of it being produced as a genuine LEGO Ideas set.
Scott expressed his delight, being an ardent admirer of LEGO constructions and Disney’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas” movie directed by Tim Burton. He feels deeply honored to witness his design manifested in the tangible form of LEGO bricks.
1. “This movie has become a global sensation, loved by both children and adults alike. The creative minds behind it have truly excelled in designing an engaging game set that is equally captivating as a decorative item.”
As a die-hard LEGO fan, I’m super excited to share that the Nightmare Before Christmas set will retail for an impressive £189.99 here in the UK, €199.99 across Europe, and a cool $199.99 in good ol’ USA!
The item isn’t open for pre-ordering at this time, but in the meantime, you can purchase various LEGO Ideas sets inspired by movies that are currently on sale. These include the newly launched Jaws set, the Hocus Pocus cottage, and the Home Alone house.
Alternatively, should those options not appeal to you, we offer compilations of top-tier LEGO Marvel, Star Wars, Super Mario, Disney sets, and many others as well.
As a long-time enthusiast of both LEGO sets and Tim Burton’s films, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming release of the Disney Nightmare Before Christmas set! Having grown up with the original movie and cherishing its unique blend of Halloween and Christmas themes, I have eagerly awaited the day when I could bring that world to life through the magic of LEGO.
