LEGO reveals long-awaited Twilight set – here’s how to buy it
LEGO has unveiled its long-awaited Twilight set.
In 2023, it was officially announced that my favorite franchise was going to receive the LEGO makeover! I was thrilled when I heard that gamers like me had a say in this, and the Cullen family’s house was chosen as part of a project by the LEGO Review Board. Can’t wait to build it!
As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that I’ve just caught a sneak peek at the upcoming set! It comprises a whopping 2,001 pieces and brings to life iconic characters like Bella Swan, Edward Cullen, and even Jacob Black, showcased in both human and wolf form as minifigures.
Additionally, Bella’s red pickup truck and a tree are also part of the setup – useful if you wish to replicate the “spider monkey’s” high-up rope swing.
Starting January 16th, enthusiasts have the opportunity to reserve this collection ahead of its official release on February 4th, which will be available through LEGO. The set is priced at £189.99.
Nick Micheels, who designed the set after it amassed an impressive number of votes, nearly reaching the 10,000 mark required for production, stated: “The incredible submissions I saw on the LEGO Ideas website sparked my creativity to also contribute my own concept. These designs showcased the versatility of the LEGO system.
I chose to construct a ‘Twilight’ themed set, as I’m an avid admirer of the series. The thought of designing LEGO versions of the movies brought immense joy to me!
Previously, Micheels commented on his project’s setup, saying, “I researched the real house in various ways I could find online, and also considered how it was portrayed in the movies, understanding that the movie version would necessarily differ.
Debbie Olshan, Lionsgate’s director of consumer products, stated: “We’re excited that the cherished Twilight brand is now venturing into the realm of LEGO. This partnership, developed specifically for fans, provides us with an opportunity to broaden the fanbase of The Twilight Saga in innovative ways.
