Given LEGO’s successful partnerships with franchises like Mario and Wicked, it was expected that Pokémon would eventually get its own LEGO sets. Now, LEGO has officially announced its first Pokémon collaboration, which is exciting news for fans!
You can pre-order two new sets now. They’ll officially be released on Friday, February 27th, which also marks Pokémon Day – the 30th anniversary of the original Pokémon games’ release in Japan.
Currently, three Pokémon LEGO sets are available for pre-order. These sets are designed for experienced builders, recommended for ages 18 and up.

LEGO Pokémon Pikachu and Poké Ball (LEGO 72152)
No Pokémon-themed release would be complete with Pikachu, of course.
This 2,050-piece LEGO set lets you build Pikachu and a Poké Ball, packed with details that fans will love. It includes a lightning bolt-shaped stand, representing Pikachu’s electric power, and the number 25 on the base – a reference to Pikachu’s official number in the Pokémon world.

Pre-order LEGO Pokémon Pikachu and Poké Ball set
You can move Pikachu’s ears, arms, and legs, and you can even build its tail to represent either a male or female Pikachu. It’s available for pre-order now and costs £179.99.
LEGO Eevee (LEGO 72151)
Okay, so next I tackled Eevee! It’s made of 587 pieces, which was a pretty good build, and when I finished, it stood over 19cm tall – super cute!

Pre-order LEGO Pokémon Eevee set
Just like the Pikachu model, you can move Eevee’s face, ears, feet, and legs to adjust its pose however you want.
This is available to pre-order now at its RRP of £54.99.
LEGO Pokémon Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise (LEGO 72153)
Last but by no means not least is the Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise build.
This impressive set features 6,838 pieces to build fully evolved Fire, Grass, and Water-type Pokémon. You can choose to display each Pokémon individually or create a stunning combined showcase.

Each of these figures is designed to be posed and moved. Blastoise features a head, arms, and water cannons that can be adjusted, and Charizard’s wings, legs, arms, and head are all posable. When fully built, Venusaur stands over 23cm tall, making it the tallest of the three.
Okay, so this set is a bit of a splurge at £579.99 – it’s definitely the priciest one coming out in the first wave! I’m super excited about it, and it’s launching on February 27th, along with the Pikachu and Eevee sets. I’m already saving up!
The LEGO Pokémon collection is available exclusively to pre-order at The LEGO Store.
The latest issue of Living Legends is now available, and it’s dedicated to the incredible Dolly Parton! You can purchase ‘Dolly at 80’ at newsagents or online for only £8.99.
