With the upcoming release of Toy Story 5, LEGO has launched a new collection of building sets featuring popular characters from Pixar movies, including a famously disliked villain.
We’re starting with the Slinky Dog toy, but thankfully it’s not made to roll down stairs! If it were, the pieces would likely scatter all over, and someone would probably end up stepping on them.
Rather than being played with as a toy, this Slinky functions as bookends – its coils can separate and keep books neatly together.

This building set is made for adults and contains 1,311 pieces. When assembled, it reaches a height of 8 feet and a width of 17 inches, though the width will increase as you add more books to display between the sections.
The set includes two books filled with fun Pixar hidden details, plus miniature figures of Woody and Slinky Dog.
What to Read Next
Okay, seriously, the coolest thing about Big Slinky is that you can rotate him so his eyes meet yours. It’s so silly, but it totally makes you feel guilty about that stack of unread books you’ve got! He just gives you this look, and you’re like, ‘Okay, okay, I’ll read one!’
The set costs £139.99 and is available to pre-order now ahead of its release on Friday, 1 May.

I also snagged the Alien set with the Pizza Planet Rocket Ride! It comes with one of those little green aliens, and you can either put him in the ride, or just have him standing around – it’s a cool little detail.
This 714-piece toy, designed for children ages nine and older, features a figure with moving arms, legs, and face. The ride-on component bounces up and down with a hand crank, and includes a small coin dispenser that opens. It will be available on [date] for £54.99.

Lastly, there’s the Lotso (or Lots-o’-Huggin’ Bear) building set. It includes 570 pieces, a walking stick, and even some Easter eggs hidden in Lotso’s back. It’s currently unknown if the set has Lotso’s signature strawberry scent.
This set is also designed for kids aged nine and up, and will be released on 1 May.

The latest Toy Story movie, coming out in just over two months, features Woody, Buzz, and the gang facing a new and tough problem: a tablet that captures a child’s complete focus.
The game features many new characters, including one named Mr. Smarty Pants, who is voiced by Conan O’Brien – the American late-night host and famous writer for The Simpsons.
Toy Story 5 releases in cinemas on 19 June.
I’m so excited – the new issue of Living Legends is out! It’s a gorgeous, full-colour magazine all about Harry Styles, and it’s 100 pages long! You can grab a copy at newsstands or order it online.
