LEGO has unveiled its largest ever Star Wars creation – an enormous Death Star model. This recreation of the Galactic Empire’s fearsome planet-destructor amalgamates elements from both the models seen in ‘A New Hope’ and ‘Return of the Jedi’, featuring Leia’s prison cell, the trash compactor, the tractor beam room, the shuttle bay, and Emperor Palpatine’s throne room.
With a colossal 9,023 pieces, this intricate structure promises to be an extensive building project. The set comes equipped with 38 LEGO Star Wars characters, including Leia, Palpatine, several iterations of Luke Skywalker and Han Solo, Darth Vader, Director Krennic, among others.
As a wink to the recurring joke in the LEGO Star Wars video games, it even includes Stormtroopers lounging in a hot tub (though they actually appear in the Tantive IV levels).
