Oh, bless my soul! The news that A League of Their Own is returning for its nineteenth series has me more excited than a Yorkshire pudding at a roast dinner! I’ve been a fan since its inception, and it’s like a warm cup of tea on a cold, rainy day in Manchester – comforting, entertaining, and always makes me laugh.

An esteemed, multiple award-winning talk show is gearing up to launch its 19th season within a few months, promising an impressive roster of celebrities as guests.

As a passionate sports enthusiast who grew up watching A League of Their Own with my friends, I couldn’t be more excited to hear that it’s returning to Sky Max this Autumn! The show was always a highlight of our weekends, and we’d eagerly wait for the next episode. Now, as an adult, I can’t wait to experience the energy and camaraderie in the studio audience once again. If you share my love for sports and laughter, don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to be a part of the show. Let’s relive the glory days together!

Comedian Romesh Ranganathan is set for a return as host, however, it remains undecided if original team captains Jamie Redknapp and Jill Scott will rejoin the show on Sky.

It remains unclear if popular actors Mo Gilligan and Micah Richards will return for the series, or if new famous personalities might take their place instead.

Every week on this BAFTA-winning sports comedy series, we have renowned guests from sports, comedy, and television industries joining our red and blue teams. They engage in friendly competition across three rounds, earning points as they go.

Initially aired on Sky One as far back as March 2010, the show ran for the initial thirteen seasons with James Corden as the host. Later, it transitioned to being hosted by Romesh.

For those eager to experience the excitement firsthand, consider visiting Applause Store, where there’s an opportunity to snag free tickets. This opens up a unique chance for sports enthusiasts to become part of the live studio audience.

It seems that host Romesh might be quite occupied, given the news from The Sun suggesting he’ll likely be taking on the role of hosting a new installment of the famed kids’ TV show, Art Attack.

The TV show that featured the artistry of beloved figure Neil Buchanan from 1990 to 2007 is said to have a new host – a comedian.

Romesh, who isn’t widely known for his artistic talent, finds himself inheriting a challenging position, given that his predecessor was so gifted an artist he faced accusations of being the elusive street artist, Banksy.

In 2020, the rumours swarmed social media so much, Neil felt compelled to respond publicly.

A well-known British television figure, aged 67, became the subject of rumors when it was suggested he might be the mysterious artist, following a popular Twitter post about this intriguing theory that quickly spread online.

Gathering more than 2,000 shares, the user posted: ‘I just heard a rumor that Neil Buchanan might be Banksy. If it’s true, it’d be the most hilarious thing I’ve ever heard. Originating from Aintree, this would be a fantastic twist.’

As a devotee of music, I’ve noticed that the art scene seems to follow me in the cities where I’ve performed, which suggests a strong connection. This observation falls squarely into the realm of unquestionable belief for me.

On Neil’s website, a spokesperson wrote a statement indicating they were overwhelmed with queries from individuals trying to verify the truth of the rumor.

Regrettably, our site doesn’t possess the resources to respond to each query separately, but let me clarify that the rumor in question is entirely false.

During the lockdown, Neil stayed with his at-risk relatives. He’s now gearing up for the release of his brand-new art collection next year. Thanks, and take care!

Romesh also recently confirmed that his hit BBC comedy series Avoidance has been ‘axed’ after just two series.

The speaker is widely recognized for his contributions to shows such as Rob & Romesh Vs… , The Weakest Link, and Asian Provocateur.

Recently, he sadly revealed that his hit show Avoidance, which first broadcast in June 2022, will sadly not be returning for a series three.

Additionally, he disclosed that the program draws some influence from a cherished BBC series regarding its planned duration on screen.

On Tom Davis’s podcast, I expressed my gratitude for the commissioners having handled that matter for me.

In response to Tom’s question about another series, Romesh explained: “We decided the story had reached its end.”

He continued: ‘We’re following the Office model – just like two and done.’
