Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver Remasters Seemingly Outed by Comic-Con Statue
As a long-time fan of the Legacy of Kain series, I can barely contain my excitement at the possibility of Soul Reaver and its sequel getting remastered! The discovery of that statue at San Diego Comic-Con was like finding a hidden treasure. The intricate details of Raziel and Kain locked in combat were breathtaking, and the “Soul Reaver: I & II Remastered” sign only fueled my anticipation.
As an avid fan, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news: if the statue unveiled at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con is any indication, the beloved cult classics Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver and its sequel might be getting remastered! Can you imagine the joy of revisiting these iconic games with updated graphics and modern controls? Fingers crossed that this is just the beginning of some fantastic announcements from Square Enix!
The statue, taken by a user on Resetera, clearly represents the clash between protagonist Raziel and antagonist Kain, serving as a connection to the Soul Reaver I & II Remastered game. A small sign in front of it confirms this, bearing the title “Soul Reaver: I & II Remastered,” and showcasing a QR code for the Dark Horse comic “Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver – The Dead Shall Rise.”
Randy Lahrman, Vice President of Product Development and Sales at Dark Horse Comics, shared with GameSpot that the Soul Reaver statue will be released in August, providing further details later. Regarding the remasters, Lahrman remained silent, and the teaser sign from the statue exhibit was subsequently taken down.
As a passionate gamer, I can’t help but feel excited about the possibility of Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver I & II Remastered. The idea of revisiting these classic games with updated graphics and possibly new features is just too enticing to ignore. It’s only a matter of time before we get an official announcement, and I can hardly wait!
