Leeza Gibbons is stepping away from showbusiness for a project that is close to her heart.

For more than four decades, this energetic woman, aged 67, has made a significant impact in Hollywood. She’s collaborated with esteemed figures such as Tom Cruise and Donald Trump during her time there.

She served as a television news presenter and co-host for Entertainment Tonight, followed by hosting her own program titled “Leeza.” Later, she participated in The Celebrity Apprentice alongside Trump and made a guest appearance on The Talk, sharing the spotlight with Sharon Osbourne.

As a passionate advocate hailing from South Carolina, I’m deeply committed to supporting those who tirelessly care for their loved ones battling Alzheimer’s. My mission is to uncover and provide the essential resources these dedicated caregivers require in their journey.

That is why she will be devoting a lot of her time to her nonprofit, Leeza’s Care Connection.

As a passionate admirer, I can personally attest to the heartrending trials of caring for family members stricken by Alzheimer’s. My beloved mother Jean, who left us in 2008, succumbed to this merciless disease, as did my grandmother before her. The unforgettable struggle they faced continues to resonate within me deeply.

‘It’s the greatest work I’ve ever done,’ Gibbons told People.

A longtime walker on the red carpet aimed to assist caregivers, ensuring they feel comfortable discussing their experiences with others.

Opening up about our feelings is crucial for healing. It provides immense strength to know that someone listens and understands, enabling caregivers to alleviate some of their guilt, sorrow, or stress.

Then she mentioned, “It’s the most enjoyable, the most imaginative, and the most vibrant. What truly endures is our compassion for one another. This daily reminds me of our shared humanity.

But she won’t completely leave Hollywood.

Gibbons laughed as she clarified, ‘I haven’t truly retired.’ Currently, she’s working on TV projects.

In my enthusiastic words, I refer to this practice as ‘slowing down,’ yet it doesn’t imply dropping out of the competition. Instead, it signifies discovering an alternate path where I’m no longer preoccupied by the whizzing traffic around me.

‘And I think you get such greater clarity of where you’re going and what you want.

As a lifestyle aficionado, I can honestly say that my passion for my profession knows no bounds. The journey has been nothing short of exhilarating, and each step has filled me with a sense of joy and fulfillment. I have cherished every facet of it, and I’m always eager to share my experiences with others.

In my journey, I intentionally shifted the tempo when I found myself embracing what I perceive as my true vocation – my nonprofit organization.

Leeza called this her ‘third act.’

‘I think life comes in three stages,’ said Gibbons.

1st Phase: You’re progressing and gaining knowledge.
2nd Phase: Reaching the midpoint of life, you accumulate and accomplish.
3rd Phase: Now, reaching my current stage, it’s a time for celebration and contemplation – also a period for appreciation.

She believes that life’s approach should emphasize wellness: ‘I believe one begins with joy, encounters a few setbacks in between, but eventually, as you grow older, you ascend the journey of happiness again. It is here where tranquility is discovered.’

Instead of focusing on someone’s apparent age, she considers the diverse experiences they’ve accumulated over time, as if to say, “What I truly wonder is not ‘how old are you,’ but rather ‘how much life have you experienced?’

Leeza is married to former talent manager Steven Fenton.

They met at the Montage hotel in Beverly Hills during a blind date in 2009.

In June 2010, Fenton – a previous member of the Beverly Hills Board of Education – put forward a proposal (i.e., asked for her hand) for marriage.

On my initial outing with Steven, he was 38 while I was 51… Three years have passed since then, and in 2011, Gibbons joyfully admitted that she had finally come to terms with being a mature woman dating younger men.

Gibbons has had a rollercoaster love life.

During the years 1980 to 1982, she was wedded to John Hicks. For a period of two years, she tied the knot with British actor Chris Quinten, who is Lexi’s father. He gained fame by playing a role in the popular soap opera “Coronation Street” for a decade.

In 1991, following her divorce, she remarried Stephen Meadows. However, their marriage ended again in 2005. Stephen is the father of Troy and Nathan.
