Riot Games has unveiled details about what’s coming up in League of Legends Season 3, set to launch shortly with update 25.17. Here’s a rundown of when you can expect League of Legends Season 3 and additional information.

League of Legends Season 3 release date

The third season of League of Legends is set to debut on August 27th, accompanied by patch 25.17. In this new version, you can expect the comeback of the Doom Bots game mode, an abundance of Vaulted skins, and even more exciting features.

League of Legends Season 3 patch notes

Beyond League of Legends patch 25.17, Season 3 is set to introduce fresh narratives featuring champions hailing from Noxus and the Spirit Blossom universe. Characters like LeBlanc, Yunara, Atakhan, and Xin Zhao will be part of these stories. Notably, Xin Zhao will undergo visual enhancements to his original model as well as all of his skins. Additionally, a new epic skin is in store for him.

Moving on to discussing character skins, both Sylas and Mel are going to have their own Prestige skins available for purchase in the Mythic Store, while Jarvan IV and Zoe will receive theirs through the Battle Passes.

Machine Herald Viktor skin

The victor of the 2024 Worlds tournament will receive their skins in September. Unfortunately, Exalted Viego has been postponed until 2026. Moving on to Machine Herald Viktor, his new skin will be available with patch 25.19. Interestingly, players who have reached Mastery level 5 or higher on him before August 4 will get this skin for free.

This version maintains the original information while using more natural and easy-to-read language to make it clearer and more engaging for readers.

Anticipating further developments, Riot Games plans to implement tougher measures against smurf accounts, reduce the Battle Pass levels from 50 to 48, celebrate 15 years of Worlds in China this autumn, unveil the Worlds anthem for 2025 on October 10, reintroduce the original Summoner’s Rift map, and reinstate the WASD control scheme.
