League of Legends players with the most Worlds appearances
As I delve into the lives of these exceptional individuals who have graced the stage of Worlds an astonishing number of times, it’s impossible not to be awestruck by their dedication and skill.
Here’s the list of players with the most Worlds appearances.
Prepare for the imminent start of one of the highly awaited League of Legends tournaments! Over the past 13 years and numerous Worlds events, a multitude of players have left their indelible marks in competitive League of Legends. How many can you name? Let’s discover together!
10. Tian “Meiko” Ye
Starting from December 2023, Top Esports will mark its seventh time participating in the World Championship. Previously, all six of these appearances were made while playing for Edward Gaming, a Chinese team, for nearly a decade.
In addition, Carl Martin Erik “Rekkles” Larsson, a stand-in support player for T1, ranks tenth with seven tournament appearances. Originally from Sweden, he began his career in 2012 as a bot lane player, but transitioned to the support role in 2023 while competing with Fnatic. Later that same year, he moved to T1 Esports Academy and is now part of their roster for the Worlds 2024 tournament.
Instead of representing LNG Esports, Lee “Scout” Ye-chan, their mid-laner, will unfortunately miss the event as he faces travel limitations and won’t be able to make his seventh appearance.
9. Rasmus “Caps” Borregaard Winther
Since his first appearance in 2015, Caps has been representing European teams (with the exception of a three-month stint with the Turkish team Dark Passage in 2016). Joining G2 Esports in 2018, this skilled Danish mid-laner now boasts seven appearances at the Worlds tournament.
8. Li “Xiaohu” Yuan-Hao
As a gamer, I’m thrilled to share that I, Xiaohu, will once again grace the Worlds stage with my presence, marking my eighth qualification. Originally known as “AngelBeats,” you might recall me from my debut back in 2014. Since then, I’ve been a part of Weibo Gaming, joining their roster in 2022 and continuing to bring my A-game ever since.
7. Huang “Maple” Yi-Tang
2013 marked the beginning of mid-laner Maple’s professional gaming journey. He’s navigated multiple competitive circuits, including the League of Legends Master Series (LMS), League of Legends Pro League (LPL), and League Championship Series (LCS). At present, he represents PSG Talon. Notably, Maple has made it to eight World Championships in his career.
6. Jeong “Impact” Eon-young
As a gamer, I’m proud to represent Team Liquid once again at the World Championship this year, having qualified through this season’s event. I first stepped onto the global stage back in 2012 in Korea, but since then, I’ve been honing my skills in North America. Now, with eight appearances under my belt at the League of Legends Worlds, I can’t wait to see what this year holds!
5. Jo “CoreJJ” Yong-in
Together with his teammate Impact, CoreJJ has now qualified for his eighth appearance in the tournament, earning him a spot at Worlds 2024. This support player previously triumphed at Worlds 2017 as part of Samsung Galaxy, just one year after making his debut. Since 2019, he’s been competing for Team Liquid.
4. Nicolaj “Jensen” Jensen
As a devoted fan, I’ve always admired the journey of Jensen, formerly Incarnati0n, who boasts an impressive eight appearances at the World Championships. Before making his mark in North America, he honed his skills with European teams. Since 2015, he has been a valued member of Cloud9, and currently, I cheer for him as he represents Dignitas. Regrettably, he didn’t manage to qualify for Worlds 2024.
3. Yiliang “Peter” “Doublelift” Peng
Doublelift is a renowned figure in the League of Legends scene in North America, having first stepped into competition in 2011. Known for his prowess as a bot lane player, he took breaks from competitive play – once in 2020 and again in 2023 – to focus on streaming full-time instead. His professional career culminated in eight appearances at the League of Legends World Championship.
2. Kim “Deft” Hyuk-kyu
After spending eleven years on the competition circuit, Deft missed out on qualifying for the Worlds 2024 tournament with his team, KT Rolster. However, he previously triumphed at Worlds 2022 while playing for DRX, and then moved to Dplus KIA in the following year before switching back to KT Rolster for the 2024 season. To date, Deft has participated in eight World Championships.
1. Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok
Initiating his career in 2013, Faker holds the record for the most World Championships attended, increasing that count by one as T1 secured their spot at Worlds 2024. In all, this skilled mid-laner of T1 has now participated nine times in the Worlds tournament.
