League of Legends enthusiasts are in for a treat! Riot Games has officially confirmed that the popular Doom Bots game mode is making a comeback. In this cooperative playstyle, gamers engage in battles against modified AI opponents.

League of Legend Doom Bots release date

The return of the Doom Bots mode in League of Legends patch 25.17 is scheduled for August 27. In this new version, teams of five players will collaborate to vanquish Veigar and his bot army. For a duration of 15 minutes, they must also withstand attacks from these bots before encountering Veigar directly.

What to expect in League of Legend Doom Bots

Due to Riot Games incorporating the enhancements made to bots last year to introduce a fresh Doom Bots layer, the revamped game mode is set to include Wukong, the Monkey King of Doom. In this updated version, Wukong’s Q can simultaneously hit multiple enemies, and his E will spawn additional clones depending on rank. Moreover, using his ultimate ability will lead to even more clone generation. Thus, having effective wave clear is essential when facing him in combat. If not, you might find yourself battling seven copies of Wukong!

In the upcoming game mode, you’ll see Tidecaller Nami, the Doom-summoning character. Her bubble has the unique ability to divide into three upon landing. Additionally, her E skill will transform into an area-of-effect move, benefiting a larger number of her teammates. Here’s a sneak peek at her ultimate ability too.

Veigar boss in League of Legend’s Doom Bots mode

It’s worth mentioning that during the final battle, the boss will be Veigar, and he’ll summon a horde of bots. Their objective is to destroy your base. To survive, players must move quickly to designated safe areas to avoid incoming assaults.

For those seeking a tougher gameplay experience, we offer the “Trials of Doom” mode. This mode will feature a constantly changing set of progressively harder challenges within the Doom Bot arena. The first trial enhances the Doom Bots with Veigar’s passive ability and layers on curses for an added challenge.

Regarding the topic of curses, players can expect some fresh ones to employ strategically. Additionally, Veigar will assign tasks, and those who successfully finish these tasks will receive a boost in power as a reward.
