League of Legends battle pass missions and skins are getting better

The League of Legends battle pass experience and rewards is being improved according to Riot.

In the initial developer update for League of Legends Season 1, Riot Games unveiled their intentions to enhance the challenge mission system and cosmetic items (skins) in the game.

Better LoL battle pass skins

In the latest development video, it was revealed that League of Legends battle pass skins will receive upgraded visual impacts and model adjustments. To enhance the user-friendliness of the new battle pass system for novice players, they plan to grant the corresponding champion upon unlocking the skin.

To provide a broader range of choices, we’re making changes so that the skins from the Battle Pass won’t be tied exclusively to the season’s theme.

According to Paul “Pabro” Bellezza, some feedback indicated that the battle pass skins didn’t seem high-quality in several aspects. He agrees with much of this feedback.

The modifications you see will be noticeable on the skins accessible via the Season 2 Battle Pass. Additionally, it’s been made clear that these Battle Pass skins won’t affect a champion’s “skin cooling-off period.

Easier LoL battle pass missions and progression

To enhance the League of Legends battle pass experience for players, we’re considering removing or modifying challenging or less favored missions. For instance, a tough mission like “Destroy 5 Turret Plates in a single game,” which is difficult or impossible for ARAM-only players, may be reworked to make it more accessible.

Also, playing Teamfight Tactics will now give more XP to the LoL battle pass.

The League battle pass

The battle pass underwent a transformation when League launched its new seasonal tempo. In this first season, the focus is on Noxus, which means all five of the battle pass skins are themed around Noxus. This was manifested in the “Masque of the Black Rose” collection; skins for Vladimir, Samira, Renata Glasc, Ezreal, and Elise (who is free).

This was tied to the Bite Marks cinematic that welcomed the LoL playerbase to Noxus.
