Lea Thompson’s Surprising Back to the Future and Calvin Klein Underwear Moment

As the seasons shift, so does clothing style. During these transitions, fashion enthusiasts like Carrie Bradshaw and her daring wardrobe dominate social media, while Kylie Jenner declares summer as ‘sexy.’ However, Lea Thompson teaming up with her “Back to the Future” co-stars and embodying the allure of Calvin Klein Underwear instead of donning traditional “Back to the Future” memorabilia or accessories is unexpected. This unexpected twist, which I didn’t foresee, has certainly added an exciting element to summer 2025, leaving me both delighted and entertained by it.

Unlike the official Rihanna x Smurfs undie campaign, Thompson’s BTTF x CK sentence appeared on her Instagram post in a more personal and wholesome way. Specifically, the 64-year-old just celebrated her birthday, and many personal and professional loved ones came to join in on the fun. Highlights include time traveling costars Michael J. Fox (Marty McFly) and Thomas F. Wilson (Biff Tannen) in attendance for the festivities, along with her granddaughter, Robbie. And the grandbaby was the one who sported some iconic purple Calvin Klein underwear, check it out below:

It’s great to see that the actress from “Howard the Duck” enjoyed herself immensely at the celebration, even alongside the mini style icon! Though Thompson, Fox, or Wilson might wear the Calvin Klein suit well, I believe the perfect fit has already found its wearer.

To put it frankly, there’s a part of me that couldn’t help but hope for something more from the casual 2025 collaboration. I found myself envisioning a tribute to McFly’s iconic vintage line, reminiscent of the OG style. Given that we’re approaching the 40th anniversary (July 3rd), it seemed like an opportune moment for such a callback.

Unfortunately, I’m just as mistaken as Biff was when he took the almanac. As for what could have been, who knows, but it might as well have had some panache! With the movie reaching its 40th anniversary, many are questioning whether or not the series will produce anything new. Regarding any dreams of a comeback or further adventures featuring Marty McFly and his companions, things seem quite bleak.

Why Back To The Future Has Aged So Successfully, According To Bob Gale

Significantly, writer Bob Gale has shown little interest in a Back to the Future 4 or any other sequels set in the Robert Zemeckis universe. Apart from the new musical, he’s rejected all proposals, even dismissing Netflix’s Cobra Kai spinoff pitch, which ultimately did not come to fruition with its finale.

For those with anticipation, there are currently no new developments regarding additional content. However, the cast from the ’80s and ’90s periodically reunite. Thompson has previously posted pictures of a Back to the Future reunion on her Instagram. A few members even attended an event honoring Fox’s Presidential Medal of Freedom award.

With Lea Thompson’s images not revealing any collaboration between Calvin Klein and Back to the Future, there’s a sense of relief in the air. However, those vibrant purple long johns certainly seem suitable for a party and wouldn’t be out of place within the wardrobe of the Back to the Future characters.
