LCK’s first ever non-Korean player just won his debut match
17-year-old gamer DRX LazyFeel, hailing from Vietnam, has grabbed attention as he makes history by being the inaugural imported player to compete in the LCK (League of Legends Champions Korea).
2025’s League of Legends Championship Korea (LCK) Cup commenced today, featuring 10 LCK squads competing to secure one spot at the upcoming global event, First Strike 2025.
One intriguing aspect about the 2025 LCK Cup isn’t just its distinctive appeal from the Fearless Draft, but also the debut of the first-ever import player (hailing from outside Korea) competing in the LCK – DRX LazyFeel.
Who is DRX LazyFeel?
Trần “LazyFeel” Bảo Minh, born in 2007 and hailing from Vietnam, initially joined the DRX Academy in June 2024, later moving up to DRX Challengers in November 2024. On January 15, 2025, he was called upon as a temporary substitute for DRX’s main team Botlaner, Teddy, who was unable to play due to health concerns, during the initial match of the LCK Cup.
Today, DRX Teddy won’t be participating in the game due to signs of a bad flu. Instead, we’ve got DRX LazyFeel stepping in as an urgent replacement. Let’s all cheer for DRX LazyFeel during today’s match!

As a gamer, I found myself in an unexpected situation when I got the call – Teddy isn’t feeling well, which means I’ve been called up. Hearing the news made me feel quite jittery at first. Stepping into Tier 1 competition is nerve-wracking, but I can’t hide my excitement too. To meet the expectations of my fans, I’ll give it my all and do my best!

It’s not uncommon for players to move from Tier 2 to Tier 1 during an emergency in the LCK. For instance, T1 Guwon once substituted for T1 Oner in the 2024 LCK Spring Regular Season and managed to win their series against BRO with a 2-0 score.
Yet, LazyFeel’s achievement as the initial foreign player to debut in LCK, triumph in a series, and make history by doing so, represents an unprecedented moment that holds immense pride and honor for this esteemed professional.
It’s truly an honor to be the first non-Korean competitor in LCK, and I’m committed to giving it my all. Together with my teammates, I aim to bring home victories. Here’s to DRX’s success!

LazyFeel performs great in his debut match, despite lacking preparation
In their initial clash with BRO, DRX suffered a heavy defeat of 18-2 and were over 16,000 gold in the red, with LazyFeel as the only player managing to secure two kills using Corki. Yet, DRX managed to push the series to the brink of victory after they triumphed in their second encounter by a score of 13-5, with LazyFeel contributing significantly on Kaisa, achieving a scoreline of 7/1/5.
In the third game, the competition was intense and lasted approximately 41 minutes, ending with DRX triumphing over BRO by a score of 22-17. It was LazyFeel who registered a KDA of 6/4/9 on Kalista, but it was DRX Ucal who truly shone in the third match, boasting an impressive 7/0/10 score on Mid Ambessa.
The triumph of DRX is remarkably impressive given that DRX barely had time to collaborate effectively with LazyFeel, who was a last-minute replacement and isn’t fully proficient in the Korean language.
Overwhelming support by Vietnamese fans
DRX LazyFeel received an outpouring of support from not just DRX supporters, but also Vietnamese fans, even prior to the series kickoff. His backing has grown significantly following his impressive display and clinching his first victory for DRX. Furthermore, fans have expressed pride in a Vietnamese player representing them in a top-tier tournament, irrespective of the final outcome.
2024 Worlds Finals of League of Legends Esports witnessed an extraordinary level of excitement among Vietnamese fans, breaking viewership records with a staggering total of more than 1.1 million viewers.
Regardless of their early departure from the tournament, Vietnamese fans continued to show great enthusiasm on social media and live chats. This excitement was heightened even more by GAM Esports’ CEO, TK Nguyen, whose popular phrase “It’s GAM Time!” added an extra dose of energy to the entire event.
