Law & Order: Organized Crime will likely see a viewing age increase

As a longtime fan of Law & Order: Organized Crime, I must say I am thrilled to see the show moving to Peacock for its fifth season. While I’m not entirely sure what this transition means for the series, I can’t help but feel a sense of anticipation tinged with nostalgia – much like the feeling I got when I first watched The Sopranos move from HBO to AOL’s dial-up video service back in the day.

Come May, the networks realized they couldn’t accommodate all shows into the next season due to scheduling conflicts. However, this didn’t imply every series had to be terminated. Instead, “Law & Order: Organized Crime” transitioned to Peacock for its fifth season.

At this point, there’s no fixed date when the series will be made available. Instead, it appears that Peacock will stream the episodes, as opposed to having a traditional broadcast on television.

Considering this, we might be moving towards a show akin to “Criminal Minds.” It’s likely that the age rating for this series will increase due to its content.

Law & Order: Organized Crime may become a TV-MA rated series

Because it airs on television, the show “Law & Order: Organized Crime” has a TV-14 rating, which means there are restrictions on the use of language and the depiction of violence. Compared to some other networks like Fox, NBC permits a bit more mature content, but it does not allow profanity or extreme violence.

Absolutely, “Law & Order: Organized Crime” is a show centered around criminal organizations and drug lords. Given the authentic nature of organized crime in reality, it might be more suitable for mature audiences. This series shares some similarities with “Criminal Minds”, which seems to have become more realistic since its move to Paramount+ and obtaining a TV-MA rating.

It’s possible that the TV show “Law & Order: Organized Crime” could become even more intense and raw, featuring stronger language, adult content, and increased graphic violence.

The peacock network hasn’t verified this news just yet. Although, it does include TV-14 content like “One of Us Is Lying,” it also delves into mature themes when dealing with crime dramas. We’ll stay tuned for updates on the upcoming “Law & Order” spin-off.
