Lauren Sanchez took to Instagram on Saturday to wish her close pal Katy Perry a happy birthday.
Katy, who is currently on her Lifetimes tour, turned 41 on October 25.
Lauren Sánchez, the 55-year-old wife of Jeff Bezos, celebrated by sharing photos with a popular singer on her Instagram Stories.
She shared a collection of old photos and wrote a sweet message saying, ‘Is it just me, or is it my daughter’s birthday? I love you so much, @katyperry!’
Lauren also referenced their April launch into space via their Blue Origin flight.
In another post, she wrote, ‘Happy birthday @katyperry I love you to space and back.’
Lauren perfectly paired her posts with two of Katy Perry’s songs: her 2010 hit “California Gurls” and her 2013 song “Birthday.”
In a recent interview with Elle magazine, the Blue Origin crew shared that they planned to have their hair and makeup professionally done before the flight, complementing their stylish blue spacesuits.
Lauren joked about how everyone wants to look their best even before a flight, and Katy enthusiastically predicted that space travel would finally be fashionable.
I’d bring a little glamour with me if I could! We’re definitely going to have some fun up there in space,” the singer joked.
In August, Lauren used Instagram Stories to celebrate the singer’s sold-out concert at Madison Square Garden, but also expressed her disappointment at not being able to attend.
She shared a clip from a CBS Mornings segment about Katy, and noted that Gayle King, a fellow Blue Origin astronaut and journalist, had been present at the event.
Sanchez shared a video and wrote, ‘So sorry I couldn’t be there… looking forward to seeing you soon, @katyperry!’
As a busy lifestyle, it’s always tough when commitments clash! I unfortunately had to miss Lauren Sanchez’s incredibly lavish wedding to Jeff Bezos in June – I was right in the middle of my tour and couldn’t rearrange things to be there. It sounded absolutely spectacular, though!
Despite not being initially expected, she did attend the bachelorette party with Eva Longoria and Kim Kardashian.
The singer, while attending a wedding in Australia, posted a collection of photos on Instagram. One picture showed her hugging a quokka, and she simply captioned the post ‘mood: Quokka.’
Lauren was quick to offer a kind message, commenting ‘We miss you Katy’ and adding a heart emoji.
Although Katy couldn’t make it to the wedding, her former fiancé, Orlando Bloom, was there.
The former couple, who have a five-year-old daughter named Daisy, ended their nine-year relationship earlier in the year.
The musician has since moved on with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
