Lauren Phillips reveals she suffered a devastating family tragedy: ‘You were the best’

Lauren Phillips has revealed she has had to say goodbye to a beloved member of her family.

The radio presenter, 41, shared on Instagram on Monday that her dog Roxy had died.

The Nova star posted a sweet photo of her beloved dog lying down on a beanbag in their family home.

‘Bye bye Roxy Girl. Have fun chasing balls in the big dog park in the sky,’ she wrote.

Lauren expressed her gratitude for having left in time to bid farewell to our dear canine family member. She declared, “You were simply outstanding,” she said.

The unfortunate news follows, as just last month Lauren reminisced with fans by donning her former school attire.

The radio host on Nova 100 posted a video where she showcased a stylish outfit in purple, which included a mini pleated skirt, top, and jacket that coordinated with it.

In a state of astonishment, Lauren exclaimed, ‘It’s surprisingly fitting!’ She added, ‘I’m loving myself to the point of illness.’

In my zealous enthusiasm, let me share a tidbit about the radiant star from “The Jase & Lauren Show.” You see, she once held esteemed positions at her alma mater, Wesley College nestled in the Melbourne suburb of Glen Waverley. Her titles? Prefect and Middle School House Captain – quite an achievement indeed!

Sharing a picture of the blazer and her badges, Lauren mentioned that her mother had preserved the uniform for twenty years.

Lauren’s wistful social media update follows news about the Nova morning crew’s upcoming prank, which aims to recreate their teenage years at high school.

Newscast announces that Clint Stanaway is set to team up with Lauren and Jason ‘Jase’ Hawkins for their live show, which will be transmitted from a bus touring the Glenn Waverley region.

As they traveled, the team intended to make stops at Glen Waverley High, where Clint used to study, as well as Wesley College, which was once attended by Lauren.

The nostalgia sparked by the Nova breakfast crew, which started back in February with the sharing of a vintage photo of Lauren on their Instagram account (The Jase and Lauren Show), is still going strong.

In a heartfelt gesture, a photograph was shared showcasing the popular radio personality appearing almost untraceable as he attended junior school at Wesley in 2025.

In a playful manner, the photograph captured Lauren displaying a mischievous smile towards the camera while striking a pose in her school attire.

In the picture, the budding radio personality appeared adorable, complete with a vibrant purple scrunchie that added a splash of color to her school uniform.

Not only Lauren received the vintage makeover; they also shared sweet childhood memories of fellow hosts Jase Hawkins and Clint Stanaway on the account as well.
