As an ardent fan, I find myself deeply moved and profoundly saddened by Lauren’s heart-wrenching journey. The sheer resilience she has shown in the face of adversity is truly inspiring, and her courage to share her story, raw and unfiltered, is commendable. Her life experience, marked by pain, loss, and hardships, has undeniably shaped her into a stronger, wiser, and more compassionate individual.

Lauren Goodger disclosed that she was advised to terminate a pregnancy due to concerns that giving birth might negatively impact her professional life.

In 2012, when they first connected on social media, the TOWIE star (then 37 years old) later became pregnant during her turbulent romance with Jake McLean, a man who was incarcerated. Their relationship spanned four years before it ended.

In an episode of Paul C. Brunson’s “We Need To Talk” podcast, Lauren, then at the pinnacle of her reality TV stardom, shared that she was counseled by industry advisors to end her pregnancy because having a child could slow down her career progression.

During our open conversation, Lauren revealed that she had been carrying Jake’s child. There were complications, including an abortion and a miscarriage.

In response to your question about the choice I made regarding my pregnancy, let me clarify: I was counseled that continuing with the pregnancy could jeopardize my career trajectory – a piece of advice I now firmly believe was misguided.

As I was at the pinnacle of my professional journey, it’s possible that, over time, the female cast members from TOWIE released their own shows due to having children. That could have easily been my path as well.

Lauren decided to proceed with the termination of pregnancy, as she was informed that potential business deals could be affected if she were pregnant. She marked this decision by acknowledging, ‘things are different now.’

The celebrity continued by expressing that welcoming a child at this point would be advantageous for them, noting “There are opportunities in baby products, but I haven’t tapped into any of those yet.

‘It wasn’t just that obviously, but that played a part.’

Lauren mentioned that as a young girl, she was frequently advised to get married before having children, however, that didn’t turn out to be the case for her.

On Sunday, July 3, in Bodrum, Turkey, Jake met a tragic fate as his vehicle fell approximately 70 feet from a cliff.

The TV personality went on to welcome a daughter, Larose, with ex Charles Drury in 2021.

Sadly, Lorena, the second child of the former couple, died in July 2022, not long after she was born.

On a Wednesday, Lauren shared on Instagram her motivations behind starting the podcast, explaining that she was being truthful while also speaking positively and respectfully about individuals from her past.

The star added that the process of talking was ‘healing’ for her amid the hardships from her past.

In a lengthy statement, she penned: ‘I chose to do this podcast with Paul because I trust him. He’s a good man. I really enjoyed our time together on Celebs Go Dating and his support of me continued long after the cameras stopped rolling. Paul showed me great kindness when I lost Lorena and he helped me find the therapist that started my healing journey so when he invited me to be a guest on his brand new podcast, I recognised an opportunity to finally tell my story, my way.

In simpler terms, our chat was quite therapeutic and I truly hope you’ll glimpse an aspect of me you haven’t seen before. Maybe this will help you comprehend me more deeply. I’m not seeking sympathy or validation from anyone, but if the world could grasp my decisions a bit clearer, that would be delightful.

‘I told my truth but I spoke positively and respectfully about everyone in my past. I have done enough healing and self reflection to know the good they brought into my life and the role I played in the stuff we’d rather forget.’

She went on: ‘The podcast is not about those mentioned but about how those relationships shaped me as a person, for good and for bad. Telling my story was never about shaming, blaming or hurting anyone ese but just telling my story to help me heal and move forward with my life and career with positivity. These are questions I am always asked and I’m no longer afraid to answer.

Over the past few years, I’ve experienced profound pain, but lately, there’s a sense of optimism within me about shaping the life I desire alongside my dear Larose. To me, she embodies everything, and I am eternally thankful for her presence in my life.

The television host subsequently encouraged individuals to comment only after listening to the entire broadcast, discouraging the spread of misleading stories and promoting empathy when discussing someone’s difficult life experiences.
