Laura Prepon and Ben Foster are ‘divorcing’ after six years of marriage and two kids
As a lifestyle expert with years of experience under my belt, I find the news of Laura Prepon and Ben Foster’s reported divorce particularly heartbreaking. Having followed their journey through their highs and lows over the years, it was inspiring to see them grow together as a family.
Longtime couple Laura Prepon and Ben Foster are reportedly divorcing after 6 years of marriage.
According to TMZ, it was Ben who initiated the divorce proceedings on Tuesday, and it’s reported that the actors have been living apart already.
As a devoted follower, I’d like to share some recent updates. It’s been reported that a couple, whom I’ve been keeping tabs on, parted ways a few months back. At present, it seems that Laura has moved to Tennessee, while Ben appears to be residing in Los Angeles.
Ben mentioned ‘insurmountable disagreements’ and marked September 9 as the day of their split. He petitioned the court to uphold their pre-marital contract.
It was also added that Laura has not been wearing her wedding ring; she was ring-free in a Halloween Instagram post.
Her last Instagram post with Ben was made in December 2022.
The family consists of two kids: a girl called Ella, born in the month of August 2017, and a boy who made his arrival in February 2020.
DailyMail.com has reached out to their reps for comment.
The couple met as teens through mutual Danny Masterson then started dating in 2016.
Back in August 2017, they added a daughter to their family. Their marriage took place in June 2018. And then, in February 2020, they expanded their family with a son.
2021 saw Prepon expressing her focus on personal spiritual growth, following her departure from Scientology.
In 1999, an ex-member of Orange Is the New Black joined a contentious religious group, but recently (around eight years ago) she disclosed that she had decided to part ways with this faith.
Laura felt ‘relieved’ to have put Scientology behind her, a source said.
According to a source, she’s content with living life according to her personal choices. Her primary concern is nurturing her unique spiritual path.
Originally, I embraced the faith primarily to assist me in managing my feelings, yet after tying the knot with Foster and welcoming our two kids, I found myself increasingly drawn towards nurturing my family life.
According to a statement made to Us Weekly, ‘She has become a mother and has moved forward in her life, focusing on this new chapter. Laura has discovered her unique spiritual journey and prefers not to be linked anymore with the church.’
In a 2021 interview, Laura openly disclosed that she severed connections with Scientology, stating that it no longer plays a role in her personal life.
She said: ‘I’m no longer practicing Scientology. I’ve always been very open-minded, even since I was a child.
As a devotee who has been nurtured with both Catholic and Jewish upbringing, I have found myself immersed in various spiritual realms. From praying within the sanctums of churches to finding inner peace amidst the tranquility of temples, my journey has been a diverse exploration. Additionally, I’ve delved into Chinese meridian theory, expanding my understanding of spirituality and wellness. However, it’s been nearly five years since I actively engaged with Scientology, an experience that no longer defines or plays a role in my life today.

In a statement, the actress from That ’70s Show mentioned that she and her partner, who isn’t religious, focus on meditation as a means of staying grounded, instead of adhering to any specific faith or religion.
She added: ‘We meditate daily and I’m really liking it because it’s something that helps me to hear my own voice and it’s something we can do together.’
Also in 2021, Laura said that she was ‘riddled with anxiety’ when she became a mother.
She faced difficulty due to anxiety, as she questioned if she possessed the necessary skills for motherhood after her daughter was born.
She mentioned: ‘From my experience with motherhood, I’ve learned that situations may persist for a while before they naturally transition and change.’
Initially, as a new mother, an unprecedented wave of anxiety swept over me. Friends who had older children reassured me, ‘Laura, this is just a phase, you’ll grow past it and then face something new.’ This sentiment has carried over into other aspects of my life, reminding me that we are all constantly growing. I often notice this progression in my children.
The star revealed her two children are growing up all the time and are ‘changing every day’.
She added: ‘They are changing every day now. My daughter is outgoing and wonderful and obsessed with mermaids — it used to be unicorns. She’s also very determined and does not give up. My son is beginning to socialize with kids more in small classes. He’s much more calm and observant.’
Laura is astonished by the depth of her affection for her children, expressing that becoming a parent has left her with an “immense feeling of love.
In an interview with People magazine, she shared: “When my second child was born, I wondered if I could ever feel as deeply for another child as I did for my first. But then the feelings just bloomed, and it was a powerful, overwhelming experience of love. It’s amazing how that happens.
