Ah, my dearest Strictly fans! As one who’s danced the Charleston ’til dawn and tangoed through many a Tuesday night, I must say that this week’s dance-off has left me feeling as light as a waltz on ice. The suspense is always palpable when we approach the Blackpool Tower Ballroom, the hallowed grounds where legends are made and sequins shine brighter than the stars above.
One Strictly celebrity will tonight miss out on the chance to dance at the iconic Blackpool Tower Ballroom as the show waltzes off to Lancashire next week.
Of the nine duos who appeared on the Saturday Night Live dance show, just eight are moving forward to compete at one of the nation’s premier ballrooms.
On Saturday evening, Jamie Borthwick and Michelle Tsiakkas, along with Shayne Ward and Nancy Xu, finished the competition tied for last place on the leaderboard, each earning 30 points. Meanwhile, JB Gill and Lauren Oakley, as well as Tasha Ghouri and Aljaz Skorjanec, ended up in first place with a total of 37 points.
