The success of Cars is consistent and reliable for Disney and Pixar. Even when there isn’t a new movie released, sales of Cars merchandise and the popularity of the Cars-themed attractions at Disney parks continue to generate significant revenue.
I’m still a huge fan of the Cars world, and honestly, it wouldn’t surprise me at all if the studio decided to go back to Radiator Springs someday. They’d need the perfect story and the right moment, of course. Right now, it’s just what people are saying in the industry, and as far as anyone knows, the studio hasn’t made anything official yet, so we’ll just have to wait and see!
